What made you go get the scans? Were you having pains or did they scan for something else and see the kidney cysts?
I had a non-kidney cyst on my hip/groin area. In treating that they did a CT scan and saw the kidney situation. So I suppose lucky in that regard.

Anyone here gotten crowns on their teeth before? Few years ago I got one and it turned out I had to get it removed, do a root canal, then redo it, and that ended up alright.

Now, I got a crown today and oddly, the middle of the tooth hurts when I press down on it. Basically my tooth split in the center and they put on a crown to hold it together. I'm wondering if they'll tell me I have to take it out and root canal it, or if teeth just tend to be sensitive right after a crown's put on.

I remember my tooth feeling odd for a while after getting a crown. It was 2 decades ago, but and still remember so it must have been annoying.

Yeah all my upper/lower front teeth are crowns. I do not recall any pain though.

Edit: That was over a decade ago though.

woke up twice last night, minor kidney pain. nothing of note till around 1pm, started hurting again. laid down for about 40mins no change. around 2pm, decided to give it to 2:30 to quit or go to er. took a shower, seems to be gone again.
been kicking this can down the road for almost 10 months. in sept, stones were 7-8mm and 5mm and 3mm in the other. none were visible from a front x-ray, what is need to do the sound wave treatment. supposed to be getting that checked out friday, have to wait certain amount of time between non-pain related checks.

sunday had pain from like 5-6 and 9-10, then again around 4am. this wasn't like stabbing or throbbing, more of a mild constant, sorta like after getting punched in the arm and it lasting for 45+ mins. monday had couple more flair ups, but little milder, saw my pcp, urine was clean. tuesday blood work (all good) and ct scan, no blockages. it noted several stones in the lower part, not sure where they were before.
might contact urologist to see if they would compare the scans, but don't think it really matters.

I just heard that an old friend died rather suddenly of liver cancer. He'd been having bouts of lethargy for a while but in typical fashion refused to see a doctor. When it was too bad to ignore they found both the primary cancer and metastasis in his kidneys. That was two weeks ago.

Take care of yourselves, and fuck cancer.

I can't imagine any dentist leaving you with a tooth fractured into two and a crown to "hold it together". If they don't root canal , then yes the teeth can be sensitive as nerves adjust. But that "cracked in half" part... wth?!?!

TheNozz TheNozz update please bro
Well, it hasnt been great, but it hasnt been bad.

Still taking metoprolol 25mg at night. The odd thing is, when i treat this like an inflammation issue, it seems to get better. the longest i went without an episode was 12 days, but it hasnt been permanent. taking the baby aspirin at night for instance seems to lessen occurrances

doctors are still frustrating, completely glossing over the fact since, this whole thing started, the ONLY thing that sets it off is lying down on my side to sleep. Caffeine, exercise(even getting my HR as high as 144 bpm), sex and even alcohol do not set it off(which is really odd since alcohol is supposed to be one of the biggest triggers for it.)

Ive lost 7 pounds since June 2, now being classified as simply overweight, as opposed to obese. but i dont think its enough weight loss to make this go away(if indeed it is a factor). i prob need to lose around 19-20 more pounds before that can occur.

ive now seen a cardiologist and two other doctors for second opinions. the third doctor is going to recommend me for the abblation process. my ulterior motive for looking into it is im hoping the doctor that performs the procedure will ask me a lot of questions and maybe just maybe one of my answers may clue him in as to if this indeed just simple afib or perhaps theres a physical cause

still only happens when im laying down on my side and if i lean forward i can sometimes get palpatations

So the first of the two enemies has been vanquished, frozen to death in the wastelands. Left in a fleshy tomb to be subsumed over time by my body at it's leisure....

Translation : Cryoblasion of the mass on inside my right kidney today, went swimmingly, got a biopsy so we can get a better take on what we're dealing with on the left side. I thought that the frozen mass would break up and I would pass it like mushy kidney stones, but it seems the mass is just a clump of dead cells now (shout out to the abortion rights crew!), and my body will absorb it over time and remodel/scar into the space inside my kidney.

I bet this isn't the first time you've felt a little dead on the inside.
