Naxx is really a must purchase for new players IMO. So much value to be had, Sludge Belcher, Loatheb, Mad Sci, Zombie Chow, Creeper are all very very commonly used. Stuff like KT, Egg and Shade all show up often enough to add to the list.

I'm so mad at myself right now. I just lost a win streak game because I stupidly filled up my board with a completely unnecessary Muster and forgot Noble Sacrifice wouldn't trigger as a result. Guaranteed win ruined lol. Total fucking derp moment. It was to a FACE ROGUE too as well, two Wolfriders and an Arcane Golem.

I agree. I've been playing since beta and I play enough where I've never paid 'cash' for the two adventure packs. I've probably invested maybe $50 total in the game since beta but that's what happens when you've been playing that long. As a new player, I don't see how Naxx isn't outright mandatory.

I think that's a very real problem that Blizzard is going to have to address fairly soon. The "buy in" or whatever you want to call it for a new player is already pretty steep, and it's only going to climb as time goes on. What happens come christmas time when there is another adventure out? Then another set next spring? We're already at the point where a totally new player is looking at like 50$ minimum, with at least another 100$ likely to get an acceptable amount of cards from gvg/tgt to be competitive if they want to ladder.

Its not a problem for Blizzard unless people aren't getting on board to play. Right now those adventure packs must be mad moneymakers. Most people getting into it and playing casually probably break down and buy at least Naxx, if not both of them. They have thrown some minor bones to newbies, like the brawl packs and the pack daily, but really the whole business model revolves around incentivizing those purchases. They are probably counting on future expansion making those cards less required. Allowing the non-golden versions to be craftable makes sense though, they should do that for Naxx and later open it up for BRM.

Or they take a page from Magic and rotate out old sets, relegating them to a "type 1" or "classic" only area.

Murloc Knight of Ysera

3 arenas today. 10 wins on a Mage, 10 wins on a Warlock and 10 wins on this Paladin with 0 Consecrates and 0 Truesilver Champions (3 total spells, 1 Avenge, 1 ETC, and 1 Blessing of Kings). Sooooo glad I picked Enter the Coliseum. The other picks were much higher quality, but I went with my gut and it saved me so many times. Oh and 0 TGT packs. My standings are now: 8 Classic, 6 GvG, and 1 TgT. I wish I had screenshots for all of them just to show how ridiculous it is. The hilarious thing is the so-called increase chance at getting TgT packs. At first I felt like just a statistically anomaly, but at this point I've played too many arenas since TgT for that to be the case. It's just absurd. Also, these are 2 of my 10 win rewards today:

170 Gold + Golden Eye for an Eye + 90 Dust + Classic Pack
190 Gold + Golden Unleash the Hounds + GvG Pack.

I feel like I'm in a nightmare. Lol this game man, this game...

I was watching Rekful on Twitch yesterday. He logs onto one of those live gambling websites. Starts with $5000. Puts $600 on the Patriots over the Steelers, while admitting he has never watch a Football game in his life. Then with his $4400, he starts playing Blackjack and Baccarat. In the first 10 minutes, he is up to $5800, then over the course of the next 30 minutes loses EVERYTHING. lol

Hearthstone would be a much more interesting game if you could wager real $$ or if the 'pay $1.99 for Arena' option had cash rewards.

I'm surprised Twitch still lets that shit go, but yet here we are.

Just played a dragon priest that was running double death, lightbomb, AND mind control. And I still won in fatigue despite duplicating BGH twice. One of which was unavoidable, the other was a misplay.

Get your garbage shit out of here, why the fuck are you even running dragons if you're going to butcher the list by adding that slow garbage.
