Robots can get hectic, even on lower difficulty. Although one map we found a SAM site and after activating it, it auto destroyed all the drop ships and made things easier

This looks amazing, but based on what I’m hearing going to wait until they’ve cooked it a bit more. Much respect to everyone guinea pigging the bugs out for us fence sitters.

Honestly, there aren't really many bugs that I've seen.

I turned off AA and one other thing and it solved my crashing problem. Otherwise the only "bug" is with matchmaking, and if you just spam it a few times you can get in. The most I had to do was 9 or 10 tries, and that takes about 30 seconds.

The only thing I dislike is the kicking before we extract with randoms. Happened a few times now, and I'd like for them to make it so you can't be kicked after completing the main mission.

Robots seem about half a difficulty harder than bugs (so medium robots is halfway between medium and challenging bugs).

We had one map where there was a giant fucking robot turret laser thing that would snipe us from 500m out. We couldn't figure out how to disable it so we just ran away in zig zags.

I picked this up a few days ago. It's fun. I actually popped for the DLC because I liked the some of the work they had put into the game and I'd like to see it get better. I have a feeling it will get a little old before long doing the same mechanics a retard levels of difficulty.

The matchmaking thing is a pain in the ass but you can eventually get into a PUG if you keep trying. Hopefully they will get that sorted out soon and come up with some new features and mechanics to make late game interesting.

Oh nice, i'll try turning AA off the next time I get a chance to play a few games. Any idea what the other setting might have been in case AA alone doesn't fix it?

Yea I've yet to have quickplay on PC function at all. I can join/invite steam friends and play with them, but we can't get any randoms to fill out our squad, or join any of the in progress missions at all - everything we try just outright fails or sits at a loading screen indefinitely

This is the setting I've also heard can cause crashes. Buddy with a 4090 turned it on because he had everything else maxed and within a few games started getting constant crashing. Went away soon as he remembered he enabled it and turned it back off.

Maybe I'll turn AA back on and leave that off and see if I'm still locking up, cause some things look like shit without AA on. Been pretty good since I turned both off though.

Hello Divers!
Fresh patch notes coming in

🌍 Overview
For this patch, our major areas of focus were

  • Resolving crashes.
  • Improving matchmaking functionality.
  • Optimizing our server
  • Defend event updates

🔧 Fixes
The following issues have been fixed for this version.
Matchmaking

  • Playfab optimization
  • Playfab environment optimized - All lobbies now have proper data to run more effective matchmaking
  • Filtering optimization
  • We are optimizing the filter system when players are searching for lobbies, so that it excludes already full lobbies.
  • Stability and crashes
  • We have fixed three of our top crashes in the game, including particle renderer crashes and ragdoll crashes.
  • Fixed an issue where the application prioritized integrated graphics over some GPU in laptops.
  • Defend Events and Major Orders.
  • For readability purposes, we added a visual progression indicator to major order defend events

🧠 Known Issues
These are issues that were either introduced by this patch and are being worked on, or are from a previous version and have not yet been fixed.

  • Players may still experience some instability while matchmaking.
  • Background music, Sound effects and JP audio does not play during the opening cutscene. Japanese VO is also missing from the Ship TV.

3 matches so far this morning, zero crashes and zero failed to joins when matchmaking into them either. Turned off the global illumination thing, didn't touch AA. Not sure if its only that or partially the patch too but so far looking good. Also showing way more players online than the last few days, not sure what changed for that. Like 200k+ total when I scroll between the zones whereas the last few days adding everything up was only like 30-45k even in peak times.

Edit: Spoke too soon. Went to a bug planet and started failing to join lobbies.

What is this shit at 10am on week day? These guys have a potential gold mine here if they can quit stepping on their dicks.

I will never understand how companies continue to have problems with issues around servers and matchmaking. Like of all the shit that can go wrong, properly scaling your infrastructure seems like something that should just be an off-the-shelf math problem at this point. Yes, I realize that is oversimplifying it but come on.

Well they did not expect this level of success, like not even close. Their server company has a limit of only so many requests a minute, they've upped it multiple times but the game is growing faster than they can compensate. They'll double the amount of requests and max out immediately. I'm not making excuses for them, they are just getting their asses handed to them on sheer volume. Just wait 60 seconds and try again.

They hit over 250k players last night, HD1 never passed like 5k.

Makes me wonder what next month's surprise hit will be. No one really saw Palworld or this having this type of success.

Hasn't been any really good hits in a long time, gamers are salivating for this kind of "fun" over political bullshit, barren landscapes of games or gambling tactics/addictions.

Plus with how fast games can die off these days, i'm willing to cut a little extra slack for cases like this where they probably did not expect anywhere near what they're getting. Not so lenient when it comes to big name games that have been hyped for years etc. who should know what to expect with significant accuracy.

Hello Helldivers!

Sagar here, Deputy Game Director on Helldivers 2. We’re aware of a problem that has caused some player rewards to not pay out properly at the end of missions. We are working on a fix for this, but in the meantime, we want to try to alleviate the impact as we head into the weekend. Therefore, from now until the end of this Sunday, February 18th (CET), the game will grant all players XP and Requisition at a 50% multiplier on top of your base mission score. You can tell this additional multiplier is active when you see a Game Master Effect labeled “Accounting Corrections” while on the Super Destroyer. Many thanks for your patience and support (and for the glorious cascade of memes you’ve been sharing!). Now get back down there, Helldivers, and defend our territory against those Automaton incursions!

Seems like those personal missions are bugged, too. Have my own and the main one, and neither ever seems to update.
