I just played Hollow Knight for the first time after having owned it for who knows how long. It’s really a great game all around. Can’t wait to dive into this. Day 1 purchase for me. They’ve earned it.

I don't think there is any way this could be bad, if it's a prequel and you see her grow in strength or a sequel (kinda looks like she escapes being transported, maybe after being trapped inside?). Day one purchase for sure.

A new trailer released at the Xbox event on Jun 12. Supposedly everything shown during the event will release within the next 12 months. Get hyped!

Took a long fucking time, wonder how likely the game ends up being kinda meh cause they reworked it a bunch and some parts don't mesh well or whatever. Hoping it's good though

Probably new trailer + confirmed release date.

They've already confirmed this year for release, but think they hinted more towards winter. Sept / Oct is filled with new game releases, but I think November is very dry so probably a good month to drop it.

Cool hadn’t heard it’s releasing this year. Absolutely loved the first one, am very much hoping this one lives up to it. Mildly concerned about the main char being female now since in 2025 it’s got a 95% chance of being a heavy handed DEI decision (similar worry/annoyance with Hades 2), but I’m looking forward to it!

So will the switch 1 physical version be a normal game cartridge and the switch 2 will be a game code cartridge? If so I might get the switch 1 version. I think it will release early 2026 and I might wait. I'm in no rush playing this.
