Are there many other big vtubers that are openly married/in a relationship? The only one I know of is Vei, and I don't think her viewership was really hurt by it, though I guess she probably gained some fans from Sodapoppin's audience in the process. Also, she's not a vtuber (they all watch her though), but Shoe0nhead seems more popular than ever now and she's married with a kid. If Nimi doesn't see much of a drop after this I wonder if we see more vtubers come out about being married/in a relationship and get further away from the JP idol culture.

Nyanners is in a relationship with another vtuber and they occasionally do real life streams.

I think audience reaction to a relationship for vtubers/ streamers comes down to how they identify with them. Some probably see some dude like Soda get a girlfriend who is as messed up as him/they relate to more and they get inspired by it/become hopeful because now they think “hey, maybe there is a messed up girl out there who is messed up like me! I just have to find her!”

A lot of what he says there contradicts what Lily says in the above video about her contract negotiation when they tried to hire her. It's also funny that apparently their "lawyer" wasn't even licensed.
