Sorta. A lot of the original relic crew started making Shipbreakers without the Homeworld IP to be in the spirit of Homeworld. Gearbox let them use the IP after they bought it.Are they still making the successor?
Yeah but, is it still being made?Sorta. A lot of the original relic crew started making Shipbreakers without the Homeworld IP to be in the spirit of Homeworld. Gearbox let them use the IP after they bought it.
Homeworld: Shipbreakers - Gearbox Software
I've already pre-purchased. Even if it's a bug-ridden mess, it'll be worth it. Homeworld is always worth it.I'm excited. Going to wait a few days after its release to make sure it's stable. If all they do is update the graphics and it runs smooth, I have no problem throwing down the money for a remake.

So much this. The only other game that I've experienced those feelings with since (even down to a credits song that made me say.." Wow, so perfect.."), was the first Mass Effect. It's probably no coincidence that they're both Sci-fi.Yeah I agree, this series was such a seminal moment in gaming for me. Whether it was the time in my life or whatever, Homeworld 1 just resonated so much. It also was the first time I had ever heard Yes, and listening to the closing credits was just like, "Wow..."
TB being positive is putting it lightly. His conclusion:Reviews are starting to come out. IGN gave it a 9.5. PC World a 4.5 out of 5. Totalbiscuit was positive in his video about it. Seems like Gearbox didn't screw this one up.
