ormund hightower is a good main cast addition, he brings that creepy weirdo vibe that ser cristen cole had before he got hit with dragon PTSD. Hope Ormund lasts a while, the show desperately needs a competent villain to counter balance the incompetent yet dragon rich rhaeny.
8 episodes this season, not 6 so only halfway through. i was wondering why daemon was smiling down at the sheepherder, and also how the fuck does that guy not run for his life the second sheepstealer swoops out of the cave lol

This season has been so much better than S2. I agree though, that we have no characters to really care about. It's just a pile of deplorables killing each other off one by one.

how the fuck did someone get all those bodies down there, lol. the writing and staging was a bit tacky for the show. the guy in the middle is the new master of coin, right? Thought he was getting set up to be a big plotter or something. Maybe its the head of the goldcloaks, the corpses look alike lol. i am a bit confused as to whats going on in kings landing but looking forward to finding out.
and yeah larys speech was fantastic, looks like it motivated aegon. rhaeny is such a shitty queen, she has six dragons instead of going on scout duty she should be off burning hightower land and plundering their gold.
episode was a bit boring but i'm sure its setup for a payoff episode. alicent, helena, daemon, aegon, aemond, the lannister guy we thought was dead, cole are all in play now.

it was Ser Luther in the middle not the Manderly.
the people that sent Ormond the message were Hightower guards. They are hiding in the city paying off commoners and the new city watch guys I think we will find out. They made the comment that not all the watch were even alive when Daemon was their leader so not all of them support him and they haven’t been paid.

yeah, the more i think about it the only explanation is that a lot of gold cloaks are actually in hightower pay so they basically told some daemon loyalists "yo lets go party we got bitches and drink" and killed them. only way it really could have happened.
hinted by ser luther telling daemon that a lot of the goldcloaks don't know really who daemon is, they were hired long after he was gone from kings landing.
it feels like the war has only been going on for like 8 months but its gotta be 8+ years at this point

if DEI is your complaint then yea that’s not changed really cause of the Valyrians but the story, acting and execution is very good finally. Everyone else finally caught up to Paddy Considine from season 1.

So Jon Roxton was in the room with Ormund and Gwayne in Tumbleton during the assassins scene. He then teleported from the reach, through the Riverlands and the Black Army that wiped out Cole, then into the Crownlands to attack Corlys in a matter of hours.
Meanwhile the Riverlands army is "two weeks from Tumbleton"

Roxton as not there when Cole was killed and Gwayne headed to Tumbleton prior. They were ambushed by the Riverlands / Stark army. Corlys was south of the Blackwater hunting Triachy so Roxton wouldnt have had to go that far from Tumbleton. Regardless the issue isnt moving a few men around, "skilled" assassins etc can cross a river, the issue these armies are runnign into is all the bridges keep getting burned down so they have to find alternative ways to cross further and further away with their full force.

im not saying he was at the butchers ball but would he need to cross the southern river lands to get to the crow lands?
either way people are getting around too quick. I suppose they imply more time passes than it seems since Ulf is back in kings landing saying he was just on a 4 day watch so maybe this episode is over the course of more time, but the Fake Baratheons got to Tumbleton, were killed, their armor sent back to Kings landing, and Roxyon got to Corlys all at once. It’s the same issue with GOT, travel is slow when needed and fast when needed. Highs wife commented how long it takes to get to Tumbleton.
edit: I must have read the map wrong Tumbleton is much closer and direct to kings landing than I thought
