It's almost all from SL. Rentals and stuff give income too, but nothing compared to what Second Life brings in. Additionally, with SL, it's more of a sit back and micromanage, and nothing else.

I occasionally hire people to do things like artwork, and sounds and such for my games. The cool thing is that I often can hire people in world to do things that I need, and pay them in L$, which for taxing purposes does not require anything special (Since I am only taxed on USD and only "expenses" on the business are USD based). I do pay some people through paypal directly for some programming and customer service work, but it's not much. Those add up to over $600 per year and as such my CPA handles the 1099s to them, and I have to get their W9 on file (or W-8BEN if foreigner).

So this is all from virtual flying dildos and furry porn? I really know nothing about second life other than it's filled with degenerates. I know you make custom item from these games but I can't wrap my mind around $70k in 3 months of random pixel cocks.

A few, I met a couple of gay dudes who were both Marines who we met at the AEE/AVN show. They bought franchises with Adam & Eve opening a store in Oklahoma City. Both of them were honestly really cool people, and furries. They bought quite a few items and set up a section in their store for our brand.

Still since I know nothing of Second Life other than it's a kind of MMORPG I guess, I still don't understand the business model AladainAF AladainAF does.

Started at my hospital as an orderly ($3.75/hour), became a trauma nurse (significantly more), and worked my ass off for 20+ years. Now I'm the CEO of said hospital. Now in the higher category. Working full time through college, raising kids, grad school, and the hours I put in daily, has made me a bit cynical towards socialistic ideals in the workforce. Hell I even found time for a few years of EQ in the middle of it....

I did the IT thing for a long time then got sick of it. I own my business now and it makes a lot of money, but I've been putting it back into growing the business so yeah.
Wife makes good money and benefits, combined over 300k but it feels decidedly middle class here in a NYC suburb in NJ.

A lot further. My home was originally $139k. Today it's valued at near $300k, 1666sqft, half acre lot, currently on a ~$1400/mo 20 yr mortgage. It was $700/mo when we moved in under the original 30yr. Property tax has increased the full 10% every. Single. Fucking. Year. God damn toll roads and massive development where I live...equity is gonna be nice if we ever move.

Combined housing income between $150-200k. My income is pretty set (software engineer, salary), but the wife is a nurse, hourly, works nights. The year before we had our kid (2017) she accrued $15k more than she did the following year (2018, 3/4 paid maternity leave, no OT). Had to hit into savings, but that's what we set it up for.

Blows my mind that I was bringing in a solo hourly income of around $39k (before bonus/OT pushing that between $40-45k depending in year) just a few years ago. Totally liveable with some expendable income. My last job change resulted in a 50% increase in personal income, and suddenly found myself in the "successful adult" bracket, combined with the wife. Still have minor debt, but it's controlled and effectively utilized, vs being completely avoided. Only had an Express card with a $300 limit before, lol. Once upon a time I had a $700 rent only making $29k...not sure how I pulled that off. Bank account was constantly overdrawn.
