Overall market that I watch (VTI) seems like it's about 2.3% off the 52W high. Has been a pretty relentless march up since late April.
At some point we get announcement of a Chyna trade deal. Maybe we also get a rate cut (not that I am a fan of cuts, I prefer rates up around here) but the gubmint cant handle issuing debt at this level so maybe its gonna happen. Those should have the legs to push us on a nice run I am guessing.

Hope you are right, although I'm sure Trump will say something that will tailspin the market again soon.

If Bessent becomes fed chair, we know rates will be coming down, any good picks for stocks that should get a nice boost from this? Banks maybe? Treasuries?

Doesn’t the Fed still need to vote on rate decisions? It’s not Fed chair makes his own ruling, no?

Wrote covered calls on my AMD. Wrote the June expiry at the 200-DMA ($125 strike). I'm hoping it hits it and drops back down off the resistance. Got $3 premium.

Fair enough, but i think whoever it ends up being will be someone going for rate cuts. Apparently they do vote but the fed chair is the lead and there's not usually dissent.

I'm hoping there is a decent pullback in the next few weeks. I wrote calls on UPST for $56 back when it was trading at $48.. ITM now

Obviously pullback would be preferred but as they near expiration and only have intrinsic value you can try to roll them out for even and maybe roll out and up at the same time if they aren't too deep in the money.

Not by much, but beat all inflation numbers:
Forgot header, numbers are:

We may have very well avoided a bear market and be on the road to new all time highs. I'm still not 100% convinced but it seems all of the fears were misplaced and this MAGA movement has legs. At least until the next tweet or if we enter a summer of burning cities down :(

6 Month chart below. There is consolidation of the MA's and the flat green is the resistance of previous high's basically. However unless there is a sharp bounce down the trending is up it would seem. The slopes are officially positive I believe(didn't do the math on all of them)

There is no deal, but it's also irrelevant it would take more than tweets to get the market to care about this issue again.
