The flashbacks should have been season 1, then get into the family drama and betrayal in season 2

If they'd really dug into the comic they could have made it something good that stood out. Most superhero movies and shows don't really dig into the underlying questions that these kind of things would mean for society. I guess this didn't either, but it could have.

Finished this finally and it's pretty fucking lame. Why the fuck does everyone have super powers? Did they explain it and I missed it? It's like the six got them on the island and that's cool but why does everyone else have them?

more news came out this week about why it was cancelled. reportedly the working budget was $72m season, but ballooned to estimated $130m then with covid shutdowns, could be as high as $200m. as the netflick execs who set it all up, left and the new ones want to go in different direction.

Just finished episode 6 of this and decided to stop in to see what you guys think.

I think I might be Milk Toast or something.

My favorite part is the Elder Superman who is defending traditional conservative beliefs in the face of a new generation. The Quest for the Island is interesting, sure, but I want to see this guy get vindicated and have the youth realize there is a reason why you have to be the bigger person in the face of evil. I think that's a pretty important message for our time, and I was stoked to see a show champion it.

Wish more media would adopt this message.

Started watching this the other day then someone recommend The Boys which is also gay superhero garbage but way way way way more entertaining. So if you are thinking of watching this don't it sucks shit.

After watching it in it's entirety, the only really good entertaining parts to me were when they had flash backs to how they became super heroes. The rest just seemed like filler. Ie. The origination story should have been the entirety of season 1.
