Skeptical scientists explore the topic. Either:

1. Change their Minds and get labeled "crazy".
or
2. Try to hide the results out of fear. Fuck up badly.

For a bunch of atheist edgelord neckbeards, it's amazing how few people AKSHHHHWUALLY care about science and the scientific method, and math. Because all of those things, scientific method, empirical evidence, math, and peer-reviewed articles are all pointing in the same amazing direction.

Ah, so it only took them roughly a thousand years and the Holocaust but they're all set now.
