Yeah, they really should have just had her say "My Mom can keep the baby for another day" or something but it's not exactly hard to explain.

Again, this is me being stupid.

But she mentioned earlier IN THE same episode, how she has to arrange her working schedule around being a single mom with a kid. (And she adjusts to the kid, so can't preschedule blah blah)

Of course there are 100 ways they could have written the baby out for a while, but they didn't and silly things like that show my nerd idiot side.

In the end, the kid (And basically the rich/not rich mom that somehow has never served or knows very much about oil even though banging all the oil peeps) don't need to be in the story.
Not to bring up how "tight" the family was supposed to be, hanging at the house a ton...and yet we haven't seen any of them since they completed their part in hooking up oil boy.

For every 1 cool thing this show has, there are like 10 maddening things that could have easily been fixed.

Easy for me to say, I don't work in the entertainment industry...but still...I am bitching.

Thanks for listening to my TED talk

never apologize for pointing out bad writing, the moment we have real AI that isn't just regurgitating libtard reddit fanfic most of the hacks in those writing rooms will be on the street sucking dick for rent money.

Every day we get closer and closer to idiocracy most people are too stupid to understand plot holes or think you're being stupid for pointing them out
