This next week is a super week btw... 2x the games again.
And I'm against my nemesis, SIDIAN!

The forecast shows Sidian taking a victory with 456 points to 435... still anything can happen on Super Week!

Can the worst team in the League dethrone the delusional self-proclaimed first place team?!?!

To top it off, TSM will be facing 3 of NA's worst teams... Bjergsen shall carry me to victory!
If Bjergsen doesn't have a 100+pt week I'll be disapointed

It's going to be a walk in the park for me. I might even be rude and walk over the flower patches. Also, come on, remember last super week? I dominated. GG Ravishing! I needed a free win!

Sid got handcuffed this week. I play a lot more EU than most teams I think so I was finished, ahead by 80 points and Sid still had 4 to score: Shiphtur, Kiwikid, Doublelift and CLG. Sadly, they were playing each other so I just needed one team to stomp. Shiphtur went Orianna and I was very very excite.

GGs.
Yeah, stupid stupid stupid. All I wanted them to do was have some stupid 50+minute European type game with 25+ kills on each side...but nooooooooooo.

I might actually care about my fantasy teams if I was with people who actually gave a shit. You guys make it look fun, and I'm just sitting here checking my teams every few weeks.

Im in 3 leagues and basically do the same thing other than posting the couple shit-talk posts in this thread once a week. It's not as fleshed out as it could be so there's not much you can do after the draft really. Maybe a couple drops/adds or try to bargain for a trade but there's not even a message board or official trade system setup to facilitate it if you're with a bunch of strangers. Also the player pool is super tiny so there's usually not much available to gamble on.

In our league there are available:

2 top laners
1 jungler
1 mid
1 adc
4 supports
8 teams

This is similar for any 8 team league. For more action it would probably be best to do the least amount of teams, meh.

Any other fantasy sport would have 10+ of every position.

I was going to start learning to play Nid better, but I'm willing to bet she's going to be banned a lot.
Perhaps, I mean the patch didn't do much to her so I can't say that I am really scared of her any more so than before the patch. We shall see.

Edit: Now that I think about it...I think I might be more scared of Mao than her.

Bruiser Nid got some really good buffs in 4.11. The biggest is the cougar form reset after landing a spear. You can now chase in cougar form, then jump to human, spear and return to cougar to W>Q>E without waiting on the form cooldown.

Maokai looks interesting. Wondering if he may work AP out of top lane. Duno about his ganking as a jungler. That W range nerf may of hurt that.

His ganks will still be good since his saplings can slow now. His ability to peel for carries got a huge buff with his new ult.

Yeah, that new ULT is awesome.

Does anyone see any rise of tank junglers? With the new item assisting in clear speeds, do you see shit like Maokai, Shen, Alistar, Nautilus becoming more useful in the Jungle? I played a few Skarner games the other night, and tanking jungling was much more fun. My only issue with the champs listed is their early game 1v1 abilities vs. the Lee Sins, Vis, Elises, Eve's etc.

The problem IMO is the clear speed. I still feel like I clear stupid slow on the tanky junglers compared to the more carry junglers. That being the case they could gank quicker and earlier. Me personally, it probably won't fit my style as I like to counter jungle if the chance arises. That doesn't mean we may not see more tanky junglers now as if you wanna run a bunch of damage and need a tank you potentially have the option now where I don't think it was really an option before. It may have bridged the gap a bit but I still think the "upper tier" still exists.

<3 Maokai. He was one of my favorite junglers back in s2. Can't wait to start playing him again. That ult change is awesome so it actually follows him around...amazingggggggg. If it's still the 20%(? shit I don't even remember the % because it's been so long since I've played him) dmg mitigation that'll probably be pretty OP. Having a slow on his sapling is cool and doing %hp dmg on his root...awesome!

Just ran a bot game to mess around with build on Maokai. With some AP runes, AP masteries, and Archangel Staff, Athenes, Rabs, IBG and sorc shoes, I'm doing 37% max health damage to targets on a 5.5 second cooldown and I can barely go OOM on my ult. Lolwut

Ok just thinking about top Maokai from last night:

If you build two mana items, you can really get going in a team fight by keeping your ult always on, and with 40% CDR you really can abuse it. Im going to be tweaking the build path a bit though I think.

Start: Elixir +3 pots
Rush: Chalice

Now you can build your boots or a tier 1 defensive item. In my few games, I built a Tear here because it was cheap and easy and then finished my Athenes. I'm patterning this off of a Ryze build. Once I finish Athenes I typically build more AP. I did Abyssal Scepter against an AP opponent or Tabi's against AD. Then I go for Rabadons.

The build is a slow ramp, but once you get some points in W and some good AP, your can really put a hurt on your lane opponent post 6. Activate your R, toss in your E, W then Q. Full build your W does 37% max health damage on a 5.5 second cooldown. At 3 items, it's around 30%. Once you get Tear+Athenes you can essentially keep your R on forever.

Few issues with this build is the ramp. Your AP is quite low until you start building your third items after Tear+Athenes. Might change that around. Maybe Athenes+Morellos instead? Perhaps go even tankier with Sunfire as the third item?

Few other things I'd like to test with this build is Lichbane/IBG as third item, but I'm not sure if that is necessary even though your Q is on a pretty fast CD.

Love the changes though, the W and Ult changes really made Maokai different.

Seems a better fit for mid if you're going athenes anyway. His lack of a true escape makes mid appealing as well given that he is a natural pusher, and his arsenal of cc would make ganks dangerous (just as they do top)

Only problem with him mid is that he's very susceptible to ranged attacks pre-6. You can avoid ganks top lane by all of your CC and not pushing past the river when you have no idea where their jungler is.

At 6, I don't give a fuck about ganks with my R as long as I have two mana items. I'm thinking that if I go up against a sustainable top laner, I might build Morellos first.
