Or you can use the in game npc to exchange the gold you get from quest for crystals like others do.

I was speaking in a general sense of what a cash shop does to a game and "p2w" aspect. I don't look at reddit. There isn't that MUCH to understand. It can't be p2w because there is nothing to win, it's just a grind. so I guess yeah if you distill "p2w" down to a literal sense to apply only to pvp and i bought gear to beat you in a duel then yes by that metric 100% it can't be and isn't p2w.

In the post you quoted I ACTUALLY state there isn't anything to purchase with the blue crystals that provide "power" in the cash shop with real money. [Technically I put (i think) because i wasn't 100% sure.]

Is Lost Ark P2W (or P2Progress faster)? Yes.

I'll provide a hint to the good folks who believe that this is possible: go look at any stream. Find the highest ilvl individual. You won't find one that has 100 ilvl on me. I have not spent a penny in the shop. Do you really think if it were possible to swipe ahead and progress that this would be possible?

I could explain how the shop can be used to progress faster (which hasn't been touched on) but it would be an essay. It also wouldn't be relevant as, due to the gold cost of upgrading gear being next to nil in our version until T3, it isn't a factor.

Yes I understand the game doesn't actually start until the cap here. I don't mean swipe = instant ilvl increase in my post, I simply meant you can use the resource (time) that was saved by swiping to focus on "gearing" up or whatnot. but again I don't think that's 100% applicable to LA as it would be in other MMOs, since the post-cap game is so drawn out that a few hours or whatnot doesn't matter.

I'm not even hating on the game.

Sure you can, especially if you didn’t headstart. However those guys have to level to 50 after headstart players did. However by the time you hit 50 you should have some good and can buy crystals with that. If you swipe your card you don’t get enough to buy your way to next ilvl cap because you just don’t get enough resources to do so.

Does it help? Yeah but it’s not impactful in any way at all. I’ve used my headstart crystals to buy every rotation of the shop and I’m just 466. I got more resources going out on voyages than the entire week of Mari shop.

The P2W aspect is so minuscule that it’s just not a factor. Perhaps the Korean version had a more favorable shop and in game but the NA version is gutted.

We don’t even get much for skins to purchase either which kinda sucks.

Yeah if you've claimed your pack by 2pm CST today you'll be receiving an additional pack "sometime soon TM". Basically, you just need to make sure you've claimed the pack within the next next 20 minutes and you'll get the second one soon.
