I rewatched David Lynch's wild at heart the other evening because I haven't seen it in a long time and it's pure awesome Cage. It's on prime I think, and worth the revisit.

He's a great actor, and not a movie star. Difference being is he can actually portray something completely and radically different versus just always being Nicolas Cage.

Because John Madden was a giant (6'4") and Frank is almost a midget (5''7"); also Frank is a comedian and has zero (0) oscars, while Nick Cage has one (1) win and two (2) nomitation for Best Actor.

A comedian doing an impression is taking some of their speech and idiosyncrasies and exaggerating them as a joke.

It's not even close to the same thing as a 2 hour biographical drama.

And anyone who thinks that Cage being the only redeemable part of some terrible movies, is somehow proof he's a bad actor, shouldn't be taken seriously
