cgi looks amazing but Once Upon a Time really has robbed this movie of its "this is new and cool!" factor. will definitely be a family watch at home, but theater... meh

I was commenting to my friend that Jolie as Maleficent is one of the best casting decisions I've seen in a loooooooooong time. She looks absolutely perfect in the role. Amazing job.

Yeah, they didn't even have to touch up her cheekbones since she looks like Skeletor IRL now.

Looks like a movie to stream, when having a bad hangover. Watch pretty CGI, doesnt matter if you sleep inbetween and dont have to use brain. Perfect!

Looks like a cool idea and might have good execution, but I feel like it'll start off interesting and end up formulaic at the end because it's a Disney movie.

If it was a chaotic neutral Maleficent performing evil acts out of hurt, vengeance and perhaps a misguided quest for something personal fighting against a lawful neutral group of people who were committing acts to protect their kingdom from her it'd be interesting, especially if you leave the theatre not knowing who the good guys and bad guys were.

Instead I think it'll be a chaotic good Maleficent performing misunderstood acts out of genuine desire for goodness against a lawful evil and sinister group of humans doing stupid things for the entire movie.

Why do they have to turn a perfectly awesome villain into a good guy? Looks stupid.
