the only possible leak we have is that when naruto summoned gamabunta he got gamahi instead uz gamabunta was away doing something. (since he's a frog he might be swimming to retrieve dead jiraiya, why? who knows, it's naruto)

The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th were supposed to be dead for good, and impossible to edo-tensei from what someone said in a line before too. They changed that real quick.

Too many things would need to conveniently happen for Jiraiya to come back. Gamabunta would need to have gone on a secret recovery mission, Kabuto would need to break out of his eternal genjutsu prison, Gamabunta wouldfor some reasondecide to side with Kabuto (??) not to mention he'd need to find his hiding spot the first place. The entire notion makes zero sense. It would lessen Jiraiya's character and the story as a whole. i don't want jiraya back... but they have literally brought back EVERYONE with fcking edo tensei.
he probably wouldn't be effective, he needs the frog couple to do sage mode, unless you're allowed to bond with a corpse to get senju chakra
He's going to come back at the penultimate moment and call a time out in the fight between kakashi and toby asking them to kiss and make up and be buds just like the old days.

And yet again I bring back up the way the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th returned. Conveniently there happens to be this shack out in the woods with masks for every death god, and conveniently if you wear said mask you can reverse it so where people who once sacrificed their souls to seal someone can then come back via edo tensei, oh and Orochimaru wouldfor some reasonhave to practically turn heel again into a good guy to help out the Ninja Alliance, etc, etc, etc.
I'm not saying I want Jiraiya to come back, i'm saying it's plausible if he did. It's a manga, it's easy as balls to rewrite something into making sense. Yes, it would lessen the story, but unless you just started reading Naruto, you should know that Kishimoto isn't exactly above doing that. As Tuco said just right above you, it's a fictional kids story. Anything can happen.
