What should she do instead? Having a second phone would be suspicious. She's probably too dumb to have a virtual phone. Communicating only via email/text in a separate account would be cumbersome. Locking down her phone suddenly would be suspicious.
Well... I suppose you're right but... come on now. Don't use your phone. Use a new email your SO doesn't know about. Why MUST you use a phone? But yes you guys are right. People are stupid and sex has a way of making us even dumber than we usually are.

Feel bad for the bro. I know you don't want to believe your wife could cheat on you so you just put the blinders on, but come on, they just held hands and chatted all night while watching a live porno session in front of them?
Even if she didn't screw the guy, she spent significant effort arranging a covert trip to screw some guy behind his back, and sat through a night of her husband's brother's wife (allegedly her best friend as well) screwing some dude repeatedly. While "holding hands" with a stranger and drinking heavily. Even if that story is true... wow, that would be a trust annihilator.

Run, bro. Run far and run fast.

There is one plausible part of the story. Science has shown that Jenny and Carly are totally cheating whore names. Top 10... maybe even top 5 behind Danielle and Veronica probably.

I imagine it's hard to arrange a meetup without calling and being called by the enabler. Personally I'd just create a throwaway google account and use that, then call only when necessary. Explaining all the fucked up texts is impossible, explaining a dozen calls over a week is hard. Explaining a couple calls when you're on your 'girls night out' isn't so bad.

Made a ton of money and helped rid Mexico of a drug lord? Don't spoil it for me, I haven't finished the series yet.
You didn't finish it yet? You had him as an avatar!!

I won't spoil it.

If I found out my wife went to a hotel and was holding hands with a dude and drinking that would probably be enough for me to divorce her. Clearly I am not providing something you need at home, so please go seek it elsewhere.

At the very least, a cheater should be smart enough to delete the graphic sex texts after you get them. He claims to have seen the conversations between him and her that were on there. Sounds like he married a retard. Or...it's fake.

Of course I finished it, might start watching it again soon. That was just a bad joke. Even if I didn't, I think Breaking Bad is past spoilers territory. Even Tuco watched it by now.

BB is passed spoiler territory because I've already seen it.

Please don't spoil the Wire or LotR though.

Yep my eyebrows were raised on that story with the PI being James Bond levels of equipped and available within minutes of being called, not him knowing his wife's pin numbers and passwords. The shared info thing may not be common but it's that way with me and my wife. It's more of a convenience thing really... Hey can you check my email something came in and I'm busy, here's my password, kind of thing.

It's 2015. I get every email on my phone. Unless I'm in jail, I don't really see the need to give anyone else my personal passwords for email. Now financial stuff, etc, sure.

Most people give their SO full access to their phone and then go ahead and still use it while cheating? Our education system is failing us... Tad was right. Bring back the slide rule!
If you remember, when I caught my wife it was the same shit. I broke my phone in the afternoon on a family trip, later that evening she had gone to bed, and I was just chilling and relaxing. Saw her phone on the nightstand and went "Ohh, I'll surf the net on that." (Literally the first time I had ever touched her phone, as I can't stand iphones). I turn it on, and there are notification messages on the welcome screen from a dude, clearly in full on sexy time mode. I opened her messaging, and read the texts. She had erased everything before that evening, so she was probably talking to him all the time and just erasing at the end of each session, but she had apparently forgotten before she fell asleep.

But yeah, when you are not at all concerned your partner is going to be going through your shit, I guess you don't bother trying to hide it. Again, assuming you are a normal, stupid, person.

The worst thing about the PI was giving him a feed to it. I bet most PIs would do the investigation and take at least a few days to build a report of the affair. It's probably best to keep the client distanced from the scene as I can imagine a lot of clients would see the first bit of evidence then ruin the whole deal by reaching out to the person to confront them. Not to mention he'd have to be worried about updates while managing the surveillance and discretion.

If it was a fake, I'd bet the guy would've done the tailing himself. It'd be believable to rent a car, say you've got a hobby in photography and videography and just update while surveilling.

Complacency probably sets in after you have done it for a while with no consequence. You get more brazen, then you get caught. I agree, it's not that hard to believe she got lazy about covering it up.

I mean it's believable that she was using her phone for the affair, but the rest of it is all bullshit. Anyone who believes that story is dumb.

It may also settle in that they don't really care if they do get caught
Yep. The mind of a cheater is a foolish one. Usually they mentally build up reasons to victimize themselves in order to stave off feelings of guilt while committing the affair. Covering their tracks makes this more difficult and they'll instead favor a less discrete, "If they catch me so what, I want him to know and be hurt by it!" approach.

If he was really worried he could just call their provider and request text logs, given that he is set as a primary account holder and they are on the same policy.

My sister snooped on her live-in boyfriend by printing every chat log ever.
