Yeah man put it in while you can. Sure, you'll be sharing a vessel with a boss, but that shouldn't bother you since you probably already were.

Now you get to sit on the sidelines and wait for either one or both of their careers to get ruined over this, her get pregnant, and them move into a trailer park.

I'm thinking she is no longer fucking her boss. That's why she moved back. Because the boss she's in love with told her "Sorry, wifey wins"

This might be a radical idea, but have you guys with the messy wives considered just getting the fuck over it? I mean yes she's not a good housekeeper, but in the grand scheme of things that's not really a serious problem. She might be messy, but you are the one choosing to get angry about it. I can feel the negs coming for this already but it really seems like one of those "Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?" situations. If this is the level of housekeeping she generally does you might be able to change her but probably not. She's not doing it to piss you off so I say just clean it yourself or stop worrying about it. It is nice to walk into a clean house, but on the list of survival needs it's pretty far down and you have to ask yourself if it's really worth lowering your satisfaction with your wife and general happiness level by getting pissed off about it every day.

This might be a radical idea, but have you guys with the cheating wives considered just getting the fuck over it? I mean yes she's not a loyal wife, but in the grand scheme of things that's not really a serious problem. She might be a slut, but you are the one choosing to get angry about it. I can feel the negs coming for this already but it really seems like one of those "Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?" situations. If this is the level of loyalty she generally shows you might be able to change her but probably not. She's not doing it to piss you off so I say just get a mistress yourself or stop worrying about it. It is nice to be your wife's only lover, but on the list of survival needs it's pretty far down and you have to ask yourself if it's really worth lowering your satisfaction with your wife and general happiness level by getting pissed off about it every day.
Its just one marital issue. Read it as changed. I mean, one mans cheating is another mans clean house.

I know if the place I lived looked like the pics that were posted I wouldn't be happy.

There is indeed a furniture golden. That's not good.

My personal rule of thumb is, "if it would take two hours or less to clean then it ain't messy." That one room was a five hour job.

If i could + you I would. I make the kids pick up their toys, but if laundry needs done or put up and I have time it gets done. Making that shit a war just isn't worth it. However I ain't sympathetic to the "I was about to do it" protestations.

And that laundry golem is no match for the Sprite golem:

Where does a line get drawn? Do you just eat shit constantly to avoid making a war and keeping your (lazy-ass) wife happy? Obviously you have to compromise in relationships; even more so when kids are involved. There's boiling points for situations, though, and if you're a stay at home parent, keeping the house looking presentable should be a bare minimum.

The problem is I legitimately don't have time, she's home all day. I expect a little help. Anyways it was mostly venting.

Everyone has different tolerances, I could not sit down and be comfortable or relaxed in a house like that, I would have to clean it or leave. My wife is the same so that works for both of us, I guess that's why I married a cleanliness oriented women, I could not last a year with a messy person. To each his own. It sucks for the kids to grow up in that type of environment with no other options, its a shame to see kids on hoarders crying because they could never have friends over and to see the obvious emotional effects living in a pig sty has on them.

If your wife wants to act like a child and you're cool with it, then sure I guess "it ain't worth fighting over". But I'm of the opinion that a woman shouldn't get a free pass to be an adolescent with a man taking care of her for her entire goddamn life just because of stupid old addages like "happy wife, happy life". No thank you. Woman, be a grown up. Clean up after yourself. Keep your affairs in order. Stop bitching that adult responsibility is just too much for you to handle.

Noodle send your wife off for a weekend retreat at the spa and get Servpro or a swat team of maids to clean all that shit up while she's gone. Then implement weekly maid service to maintain it. Perhaps if she can start "fresh" with a clean space she'll be more amenable to staying neat. At the worst, you could implement a daily shared responsibility of tidying up together when you get home from work.
