This could maybe go in health thread but whatever, had an interesting event with wife. We where doing husband wife stuff and right as she was finishing she gets a sudden and pretty strange feeling headache. Could tell from her reaction it was rather odd, we immediately stop and it just slowly subsides and goes away. Then two days later she wanted to finish and the exact same thing happens right as she finishes sudden pressure and headache. Has made me concerned that she was a weakened blood vessel in her brain causing this, did some embarrassing googling and it such incidents are a thing. We are trying to get her a scan to make sure there is no bleed or other more concerning issue.

The timing sucks because we where to leave to go mountain climbing in CO this weekend, but I just don't think I can get comfortable with that as high heart rates at high elevation would be very bad to have a medical event like a brain bleed on the side of a mountain in late October. Anyone ever have an experience like this?

Has she been drinking enough water lately? Time out in the sun?

No changes on that front. I think she might have a respiratory virus that maybe is contributing. Going to have to decide today if we are cancelling trip, she has an appt this afternoon but very small chance able to scan done that quickly.

This weekend is going to be the last one before things start seriously cooling down. We usually start seeing snow shortly before Halloween. Enjoy the trip if you end up coming. If not, hope she feels better soon.

I had an issue like this 10 years ago. It turns out it was from hurting my neck and it shifting a blood vessel near a nerve. So when I got my heart rate up the blood vessel expands and gives a head ache feeling, then goes away as the blood vessel gets smaller and stops pushing against the nerve.

Does she exercise? See what happens if she gets her heart rate up just exercising. If the head ache comes back from exercise too id recommend going to a chiropractor. It is an easy fix where a chiropractor can just shift thing around in the neck to fix it.

I had similar issues briefly. Turned out to be dehydration, lack of sleep, and eye strain from too much screen time.

I'm not saying this is what it is, but I absolutely have had this same experience.

I was doing the string trimming a few years back, stopped because I was starting to get a headache. When I woke up the next day, I had probably the worst headache of my life. Nothing helped. Called into work, tried to sleep it off, more Advil that one should reasonably take, nothing.

The next day was worse, I was seriously considering walking into traffic. It was so fucking bad. Luckily, I had a chiropractor just down the street from me. I had never been to one before, but I was so out of sorts that I figured it was worth a shot. Super luckily, this dude was a legit chiropractor...he was like a sports medicine dude. Just a 6'3", jacked gym bro. He told me he never adjusts people on the first day, but said he'd take X-rays and we could schedule a follow-up. Came back into the room and said "good news...you're not gonna die. Bad news is I know why you have that headache. Your skull is sitting on top of your spine crooked, and it's pinching your carotid artery." Then he said he'd fix it today, but it was gonna be a few weeks of adjustment before it stayed permanently.

Man, when he fixed my neck, it was like all the pain drained outta my body. I felt the pain just drop out...from my head, to my feet, then gone. I went fucking limp when it did, it was the most bizarre thing I've ever felt. But I stood up and was in zero pain. It was almost like a religious experience, absolutely incredible. It was then that I decided that if legit chiropractors were snake oil salesman, that I'd buy a 55 gallon drum of it.

Unfortunately, the hard part is finding legit chiropractors. Most of them are fucking whackjobs that are little better than healing crystals.

Sounds like we had a similar issue. Sucks yours was in a way to nerve was getting hit constantly no matter what. In my case my friends Dad is a chiropractor. I called my friend first and asked them to ask their dad about it. He was familiar with this and said to come on it. He did the X-ray and adjustment the same visit. So assuming he was legit and I trusted him.

Blazin definitely worth it to get your wife to a chiropractor ASAP. If it is the same issue we had, it wont go away on its own.

I've had this same issue and it is 100% exercise induced (only happens when I am straining myself to a "cardio" extent). I've been to every specialist you can think of. Cardiologist (twice), pulmonologist, endocrinologist, nobody could find anything "wrong". On top of the headaches my teeth also hurt (yes, seriously) and I get blurry vision. I'm going to have to try and get checked out for this blood vessel thing. It came out of nowhere and just randomly started happening one day about 4 years ago.

This is a video of a video (so terrible quality) but I think its from a 30 for 30 I watched. Really interesting story about Jim McMahon and CTE treatment

She is having a CT and CTA this afternoon, her physician thinks we can make our trip but we'll decide after scans . Telling her if they can't find underlying problem they will just label it as an Orgasm Induced headache and that it should eventually resolve. Turns out an acquaintance wife just had this same problem, (amazing what you learn from oversharing) Hers lasted a little over a month.

She wants to go more than me, we will talk about it this evening but in the end the decision is going to be hers. I love the mountains but I'm also a hermit and usually start complaining about not wanting to leave leading up to most trips so she will take it as me just doing my normal but with a better excuse. She finds out Cities Skylines 2 comes out next week and it's over for me. Her being in healthcare for 25 yrs I tend to trust her judgement once she has some data to make a decision on.

If both parents are employed full time, have joint custody, an equal share of parenting time, authority and an equal share of financial responsibility (daycare costs, medical costs, etc)....what exactly is the grounds for the mom seeking child support and the likelihood of it getting approved? Other than just "because courts buttfuck dad's".
