Well he's part of the Marvel Universe again now. Marvel has a deal with Sony to share the Spider-Man property.

I meant it in the sense of "I'm a bad guy, so I have to do bad things." Heath ledger's joker embraced being evil and it was awesome. We didn't get a backstory on why he's evil and it was awesome. There's a difference between I have to do evil, and I WANT to do evil.

I think this is part of what I was trying to get at. I don't always need a backstory or reason for the bad guy to be the bad guy... sometimes I just want a bad guy no questions asked

It's not even a huge deal really, Ava was never confirmed as the director. She just passed on the movie.

At least she got that sweet McDonald's 365 award, though.

She wanted to make the movie based around racial pride. Marvel said no thanks, this is a comic book movie not a platform to turn it into your own project.
