Yeah, one of the things which broke my heart in the MCU was how they essentially ruined Planet Hulk and WWH story lines for what was "We need somewhere to have Act II of this movie". Not that I didn't enjoy Ragnarok, I did, but they could have used some other backdrop rather than Planet Hulk.
That and having rights to X-men and FF they could now do a much more legit Planet Hulk with the Illuminati.
As for them "Cherry picking" the best.... They Cherry Picked the best of the C tier, because marvel had sold off the A list and most of the B list to other companies (Sony and Fox). Then they had to start mining the D list.

Call me bananas, but maybe Marvel should just stick to making a really good movie first and foremost. Their problem seems to consistently be expanding far faster than they can. The Avengers did so well because it had 4 set-up movies before hand with extremely well known actors and pretty decent scripts. Stick to that model.
The only good Marvel movies to come out since Endgame have been Sony's Spider-Man 3 and Fox's Deadpool 3. (And the worst parts of Deadpool 3 were the MCU stuff like all the stuff from TVA and Loki Season 1). Dr Strange 2 had a lot of awesome parts but wasn't a great movie. It had a lot of flaws, especially with the Ms America Chavez girl or relying on a tv show cast that most people didnt see.
Just make a solid FF movie without trying to set up a sequel ffs.

i hope FF is great, i love the 60s future-retro vibe and while I was never a FF reader growing up i'd like to see a good movie with the characters
that said it doesn't really matter in the modern era, 24 hours before a movie is released we know whether its great or not based on pretty reliable reviewers you trust and forums like this, and afternoon IMAX tickets are always open for anything other than Christopher Nolan and DenisV movies. and movies i never would give a fuck about anyways like Wicked or Barbie. The chick equivalents of Infinity War or Fast and the Furious.
i've never seen a single fantastic four movie, i wonder if it would be kinda fun watching these old ones before the new one. grimm looks kinda tiny and goofy in the new one?

The Roger Corman one is a meme in the form of a film. Its pretty great if you are watching with a group of drunk friends but its not good at all lol.
