It would be awesome if we could at least get back to mediocre individual movies that are true to the comics with above average to amazing avengers level movies that are true to the comics.

I'm sure that's part of it, but pushing away from the MV bullshit and never again returning to the sacred timeline is the only play to salvage the shitshow they threw themselves into.
