He was my favorite character to play in the Capcom marvel superheroes game. We had one back in high school at the front of the apple tree grocery store. A few of us would sometimes go up there after school and spend a couple of bucks and play back when arcade games were 25 cents.

We even had a Mortal Kombat 2 in the vestibule at the Walmart. I miss the days of arcade cabinets being all over the place even in joints like eckard's or a gas station, and as a kid you knew which places you needed to bring your pocket change with you.

I guess kids these days don't get that experience any longer.

I know I made that joke the other day but it's probably applicable here as well in seriousness regarding the direction they took the MCU.

And if you think about it it's Ryan gosling which is probably one of your main heartthrobs regarding women nowadays, probably the new Brad Pitt. It definitely signals a pivot maybe trying to maintain whatever stupid female audience metric they had tried to capitalize on with the girl boss movies and shows.

I'm hoping it might be a decent movie because Ghost Rider was one of the only marvel characters I used to good comics of. I think I still might have issue number one where they revised him back in the late 80s or early 90s. And I was like a three or four issue arc of him working with Moon Knight and The Punisher.

It was great stuff. I don't remember who the villain was though because that's 30 years ago.

I mean if you just did that storyline for the movie, and brought the other two established characters, it would be pretty fantastic. It's already storyboarded out, but much like any of the AVP films we already have the guidebook, I'm sure somebody has to put their own artistic vision on it.

A safer bet would just be taking a decent story that's already been fleshed out and turn it into celluloid.

It's one of those things that I can look back on and I remember specific restaurants or stores that had various games and if your parents were taking you to wherever, you knew what you were going to play. This is also when arcades at the mall used to be a thing.

I used to fly to go see my dad in Houston all the time out of the airport in New Orleans and they had maybe 10 cabinets in the main terminal in a little nook, and I would always be able to spend a buck to play a couple of games.

I mean this is back when my buddies and I used to ride our bikes up to the comic book shop and there was a Vietnamese take out joint in the same strip center. They had no seating, but they had Street fighter 2 championship edition, and we would go multiple times a week to go play it during the summer when it was the hottest and most humid in New Orleans. Then you would go back to somebody's house and have water gun gun wars with super soakers.

I don't even think kids nowadays know what a super soaker is, let alone championship Street fighter 2.
