Punisher with a fresh fade always seemed off to me. He's a utilitarian recluse, so I imagine he'd just buzz his own hair. Short hair cant be grabbed by thugs.

It was way to short, more like a pilot for a new series than anything else, 48min runtime with credits. It was good though, slow at first but business picks up at around the 18 min mark.

Did he let some stupid cunt talk him into sparing any more child pornographers? Because that was the highlight of the TV series.

I liked it. It's obviously just a psychological clean up of the character before Spider-Man. At least they went the hard R with it and didn't think I'd hear Danzig as an opening song for a Marvel show.

Only got a real punisher scene at the end. At least 30 mins of hallucinations and moping for a 43 minute movie

Beyond silly, this is essentially a 44 min music video.

That being said, as a Punisher fan from the very beginning (Mike Zeck limited series was my personal favorite throughout the 80's) Jon owns the role.

Worth the watch, Thomas Jane basically did this with his YouTube short years ago.

Enjoyed it for what it was, for sure a set up for Spiderman.

watched the Punisher 45 min special since I am probably gonna see the new spidey movie tomorrow. Very bizarre, doesn't really seem that connected to anything. Its basically PTSD John Wick.

Story makes little to no sense and i'm pretty sure you don't need to see it for spidey, it just resets Punisher from whatever he was at at the end of his show to "i worked through my trauma in 45 mins and I am ready to clean the streets up again"

mostly I was thinking through the movie "so this is Mamdani's New York, eh" lol. As Hollywood usual the criminals are a rainbow assortment of men instead of what we see IRL, sad in 2026 we still don't have women dipshit thugs who decide to bring iron pipes to gun fights.
