Yeah I’ve done 2 of the less expansive memory foam ones from Amazon. Both were pretty amazing initially but really drooped after 2-3 years and started hurting pretty bad. Then after that I bought a nice Saatva hybrid for like $1,100 and it has been really good. We just want to upgrade to a King.

We just got back and went ahead with a Sealy because it did feel very nice and was cheap enough with President’s Day deals that we could get an adjustable base and 0%.

The more expensive Tempurpedic felt okay but the ones we laid on felt very “foamy,” while this Sealy hybrid still felt firm but cushy. The Serta didn’t feel great and the guy explained that may be due to the fact it isn’t edge to edge coils. The Purples just felt very odd with the grid. I’ll fight you to the death for my Purple pillow, but that same feeling was just odd for the whole mattress.

It’ll be here Feb 26th so we’ll see how the break in goes and keep it or turn it back in and try something new.

Not the bed I regularly sleep on but I bought a mattress from Costco for like 400 bucks for a spare bedroom and that thing is surprisingly comfortable. Might end up saying fuck it and just get one for mine when the current one wears out.

Latex foam is cooler than memory foam. I've had a mattress from these guys for about 8 years now; no complaints.
What firmness did you get?

ended up buying a latex topper last year that was cool but didn’t provide enough support… Going to go all in on a new mattress but debating whether full latex or hybrid latex with coils

Id say no. But I also sleep very hot. My wife seems to be fine though. Purple supposedly sleeps cool though with their spring technology.
I’ve read too many bad things about purple as far as QC and customer service. Leaning towards sleeponlatex. I sleep very hot

Medium, but I'm a side sleeper (side sleepers generally need softer mattresses/firmer pillows) and on the lighter side. If you're a back sleeper or especially a stomach sleeper, I would err on the side of firmer. Same if you are heavier (over 200-225ish).

Just bought a king mattress from Costco for $650. Better than the thousands of dollars mattresses from the ripoff mattress stores.

Led me to a local dealer in OKC that makes their own mattresses and am now getting the best sleep that I can remember on a bed that cost less than half what I was expecting to pay.
