and i still cant tell how much of this is Tuco genuinely liking the game and how much of it is him trolling Ut.

Definitely a little of both :)

You guys should have seen what happened yesterday while I was playing The Evil Within 2.

A giant white octopus-style monster with a head looked at me funny. It's head cranking around looking and eyeing every quadrant of his room. I knew I wouldn't have the strength in my state to be able to do anything about it, as I had just turned on a generator that was supposed to equalize the STEM project town of Union. I was exhausted. I was out of ammo. I was desperately trying to get to the next save point as dinner was ready, my character was hungry, and it was time for a chicken bacon brat to fulfill my energy level to get back on the couch and continue playing. Like Sebastian in the Neverending Story, I ate along with my character and didn't hit the pause button. We all thought that this was a great idea at the moment. Maybe this beast of a monster would get tired... fall asleep? Making it easy for me with my new caloric intake at hand, to have the energy to carry on.

When I was rejuvenated, I took a look at my options. This particular beast had a severe neck height advantage and one small step meant the end for me, and being that I just had dinner, that would be wasted food.

As it peered over and to the left I saw my breaking point. A small wall jetting out - covered in a white substance that slowed me down. It was sticky. It was hard to traverse. LUCKILY, by the har of my chinny chin chin I was able to hit behind the wall but moved to a small crate next to that wall - as the beast heard a drop of my foot, as it peered directly over me. Calm as one could be in such a dire situation, I waited - and the beast looked to the other side of the room as I stealthily made my way to the next box.

HE SAW ME! AT THAT SECOND.

I frantically ran away to the right of the hideous monster, and it gave chase! HOW. HOW WAS IT DOING THIS. It needs the puddle of white to sprout, I thought, as I ducked behind another box in the next room.

I'M SAFE. I MADE IT. THANK GOD I ATE!

No. My assurance that everything would be ok came to an abrupt end as it sprouted behind me again as I threw everything I had into my legs and high gear to keep running towards ONE SINGULAR DOOR. As I kicked the door open in a full sprint I heard the beast howl one last time. Until we meet again I think it thought, as I was thinking, "The next time we meet again, I will have bullets".

I saved the game. Breathed a long sigh of relief, and finished my green beans.

Tonight, I may see that beast again. This time.... I will be prepared. Happy this didn't have a nemesis system.... Immune to my 9mm? I don't think so.

Just got to Act IV, haven't spent a dime so far and the game is pretty amazing up to this point. Getting the ability to raise defeated captains from the dead for my army, yes! Having to defeat a champion in the pits to use it, fucking bullshit. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.

I probably have 5 or 6 hours into the game and i have not left the first zone, I am just having too much fun running around battling this mother fucked named Skak the Maggot Farm or something like that. I am only level 7 and he is level 19 (EPIC) and he has killed me 7 times to my 3 kills over him. It is infuriatingly fun to keep going back at him.

That was the only grenade left in your pouch, and I ALMOST called you posting this, but I didn't want to brag about my anti-troll abilities which are far greater than anything you could possibly fathom.

Obviously the only good outcome for this game is for them to license the nemesis engine to a variety of different companies.

Racing game with procedurally generated ricky-bobbys for you to compete against.
Idolmasters hierarchy of betrayal and murder.
Sports games in general with the orc-intro psuedo-cut-scenes and procedural aptitudes/deficiencies.
Corporate Politics Simulator 2020.

Good to hear you grabbed it (and sound to be enjoying it) - its been the highlight of the 3 major October titles so far IMO.

Beat it last night, starting on Classic today and getting bent over pushing myself too far between saves multiple times now. LOL.

Nice :) Yeah I am very happy with it. I couldn't get into the first one. This one, however, I am more into for some reason. Just hit Chapter 6 last night and will be progressing tonight as well. (May hit chap 11 or so)

I have 100% completed this game and earned the Platinum Trophy.

I bought the game for $71 CDN and traded it in for $53.5 CDN (got southpark). Total cost $17.5

I must have put in 40-50 hours. The game is fun and full of mixed emotions. I would give it a strong 7.5/10 a quick patch could push it to 8/10

If you did not buy this game because you decided it was time to take a stand against loot boxes and it could have been any game, the principle is the main issue! If this is true I support you.

If you did not buy this game because you think loot boxes will cheapen the experience, you are wrong, they do not and you are only hurting yourselves. The loot boxes are training wheels for those who can not “get gud” they are the handicap parking stall near the mall entrance. You can get 100% out of this game without an additional payments.

I got 5 RL loot boxes, all RL currency was earned with in game challenges I did naturally playing the game.

I bought about 30 in game cash boxes, I had nothing else to spend my money on, Boxes are 1500M. I had about 30,000 at the end of the game, could have bought way more, but meh, no need.

What is sweet?

You get to kill orcs like a superhero in the land of Mordor. I felt there was a ton of fun to be had chasing orcs, killing a whole crew, dominating captains and turning the tide of the war as my army crew. You get to fight Nazghul!!! You get to fight “the enemy” you know that one guy? The name we are not supposed to use, you can cut him with a sword!

It is way more LOTR than the previous game, and it was sweet.

Shelobs memory was a neat look into Sauron’s past. It left me hungry for more, alas it was very short.

If you are in act 4 and need to level a few orcs, its fun to put them in pit fighting missions, got stand by the mission starting spot (not from the army menu) and just grind them up, its about 4 levels a go on champion. Takes 1 min to 2 min for the orcs to fight, sometimes its very entertaining, but its very quick to grind up a level while you waste time on FOH.org or check sport scores, or pack a bowl. I ended up doing a ton of pit fighting because I enjoyed pimping my guys out and letting them own other orcs. Cock fights with orcs bros!

What is sour.

You can not skip the orcs monologues, some of them are so fucking funny and entertaining, like the ones who get the peon orcs to speak on their behalf, but when you get 3 in a row, it sucks and you need a way to skip.

Slow motion is not cool when it happens every 30 seconds and you lose control of your Character for “the effect”

The game is basically act 1-3. At the end of act 3 you fight “THE BOSS” (yes the enemy himself) it is a bit stupid. He should have never been in the game as a character you can beat he should always stay in the background IMO. Its just dump LOTR lore. After act 3 you should consider yourself finished.

Act 4 is 10 Stages, they start off as one defense per strange, but at the end it is 4 defenses.

I found a huge game breaking bug. I won the “defense” buy assigning a grunt as overlord. I was preparing for my 4 of 4th defense on stage 10, made a new overlord. Bomb 4th act trophy and plat popped. How anticlimactic can you get.

Oh ya, and Cockfights for orcs!

It’s a nice improvement on the first game, if you liked that one definitely pick this up on sale on Black Friday.

Maybe I'm crazy, but as fun as pit fights sound as a concept - your description of them makes it sound like its an unnatural grind regardless. If I'm supposed to alt-tab or read a book/forum while playing a game to stay entertained, I'm not really playing a game for entertainment - how does that earn a 7.5/10 exactly?

You're on the wrong forum if you think finding some optional ingame mechanic that allows you to semi-AFK level hurts the game's score.

The pit fights are pretty cool, and I feel like watching them a few times every play session would probably improve my knowledge of the game, but they aren't something I'm really interested in. Watching the AI roam around like a potato gets old pretty fast to me.

Actually he’s in other games. This isn’t the MMORPG area where this shit runs rampant. We expect an ability to play our games here in other games. Not have some bullshit mechanic designed to cause boredom and frustration in NOT playing the game while you watch porn, created for the pure purpose of using in game micro transactions as you get sick of doing nothing to get gooderer orcs. But hey that steak dinner was fantastic. Only the cake at the end had E Coli infected eggs and sent me to the shitter for three days. So its all good right?

Good question.

The game ends in act 3

You fight elf Sauron in a sword fight then you fight armored Sauron and beat him in a sword fight. Its cool and lame at the same time. Alas it is the end, there can be no other ending for a LOTR game than besting the lord of the rings in combat. Act 3 ends the game

Act 4 is 10 stages about 20 battles.
You need to have appoint an orc overlord and 6 warchiefs, they help you defend the fortress, there are 4 fortress to defend.

Near the end you are fighting lvl 60-65 orcs, its helpful if your crew is close to 60 but not mandatory. You could in theory go with no helpers, turn the orc caps and win that way. You would have to be good at the game for this.

You can go into the world and turn a cap the traditional way
You can have a lower level cap, ie 40's fight a few times to get 60
You can buy caps with in game money 1500 for 2, typical your level or a few below. at 60 you can get lots of 56+ orcs which is all you need. You will have about 30,000 so you can buy 30 orcs no problem.
You gain orcs while defending as well, i turned 90% of the orcs rather than kill them, you can use them in your next defense, they are typically high level and i had a gem that gives them 5+ level when i turn them.

I found it more fun to watch them fight, it was quick and i got a kick out of it. I had cash to buy orcs if i needed but watching them talk trash to each other and fight was fun.

Keep in mind i "grinded" or levels for maybe 30min-45min total in a 40-50 hour game.
it was 100% optional, the word grind is a bit heavy as i had fun doing it and it was short.

I gave the score i did as i felt it represented the level of fun i had in the game. It was fun bros. The end.

I’m in the first boat for not buying it and you said you approved. Now you are saying I am a drama queen? Make up your mind. I’ll pirate the bitch Or GameFly if I ever get around to finishing yazuko zero to make sure these fucks not only receive zero cash on the MT’s they won’t get dick on a box sale. (And I never pirate so that’s saying a lot) Know what I did with evil within 2? Bought the game at full price. Why? The developer isn’t fucking us with an online store and collaborating with a shit publisher to enforce it. Want to know why I’m not buying battlefront 2? Same damn reason. And I’ll bitch in that thread when it launches just as much. Either way, Both yazuko and TEW2 are better games than some artificially developed grind fest hoping you pay off your plebs at Warner.
