We're down to 12 days to go at this point. $2,300,000 has been raised, thus far. Looking forward to seeing the next one or two jumps made. They all seem good, except for the ones we don't even know about yet.

They are going to need more than that for their legal fees when capcom sues the ever living fuck out of them.

Serves Capcom right for treating their games and fans like shit.

Wtb Megaman Legends 3.
Serves them right? So one company doesn't like what another company is doing with an IP so it is "right" to just completely rip it off under the banner of a different name?

As if there isn't other spiritual successors of games that get abandoned. This is no different.

But yes, if a company is retarded, then it does serve them right. Games should be about the fans, the fans love and want Megaman games (especially Legends!), but if a company either refuses or cannot make the games then someone should take the torch and move on.

IP's are only so good anyways, every game is taking tons of ideas from each other.

Yeah, they added 2 more stretch goals.

Kickstarter is showing only $3,585,000 on the page, so they must have received a lot of donations in the form of Paypal.
Only 3 hours remain at tjos [pomt/

$3,800,000: OPTIONAL RETRO-STYLE CHIPTUNE SOUNDTRACK + FX!

You've seen the names of the legendary musicians attached to this project: Manami Matsumae, Takeshi Tateishi, Ippo Yamada... It's a veritable who's who of veteran game composers. So we thought, why not tap into that retro vibe and cook up an optional chiptune version of the entire Mighty No. 9 game soundtrack, including classic sound effects? That's right - we'll remix the entire soundtrack, retro 8-bit-style, and the game's sound effects, for you to listen to in-game as you play, as an option you can toggle on or off in the settings menu!
$4,000,000: ONLINE BATTLE RACE MODE!

The ultimate online competition! You and a friend compete online, racing to the end of slightly customized versions of single-player stages. You can see your rival as a "ghost" image in your game, but you can't affect each other...save for the enemies you defeat being sent over to impede your opponent's progress! It's an all new twist on versus mode play that will give Mighty No. 9 life well beyond the single-player campaign!

Ok, It looks really cool. I love the idea of a high res return to the old 2D side scrolling games. Especially a game like MegaMan, done by the guys that made the old MegaMan. Just modernized a bit.

BTW, they've passed the 3.8 million stretch. Down to the 4 million one.
Roughly an hour and a half to go.

3,670,000 showing on the kickstarter.
Add in the roughly 165k and there's still roughly 165k remaining until the 4 million mark.

Any word on if Capcom is going to try and shit all over this or is the fact that it was so successful means it would be a PR nightmare for them?

Wouldn't its popularity incentivize them to sue this into oblivion and then make another side scrolling Megaman game?
