I dont see how my argument requires anything more than that. Homosexual behavior is a social deviancy and an aberration. We are being very generous in letting you live as you do and have your gay bars, bookstores, theaters, whatever. You are very lucky that we dont treat it as a disease and just have you all institutionalized. I think that our social compromise is extremely generous. Now, if you think you deserve more you are welcome to come and grab it, but dont be surprised when you get a nightstick in the teeth because we say "enough is enough".

Murder is wrong because you're harming another person. Its rightness or wrongness is absolutely conceptually orthogonal to the matter of legality.

If we're living in a society where murder isn't illegal and we have some ability to alter that then yeah. Of course, that's a really short debate because the harms of murder are obvious. The harms of the behavior you want interdicted by the state are not obvious.

Brokeback Mountain was widely shown in Russia in theaters, with appropriate age restrictions without any incidents.

Correct. I live in a non gay part of Chicago and I had fags walk through my hood in full fag regalia this summer. I didnt like it, but I didnt make a big deal about it.

The point being is that they dont contain this shit to their neighborhoods, it spills out everywhere, they are in your face with it, they are aggressive with it, its all over.

Yeah, one option is to move. But also why should I be inconvenienced and offended by a tiny minority who wants to invade my neighborhood while I know that the vast majority of my neighbors share my views?


I mean should I move just because a naked guy strolls down my street? Why is it illegal for a naked random to stroll down my block and have him easily arrested and charged with indecent exposure but a throng of faggots, 1000 men deep gets a blank check to do it?

Thats not even the issue. Its not some minority imposing its will through force.

Its something that a vast majority of community agrees upon, codifies it into law and then enforces that law through proper channels when the law is broken. Its not any different than criminalizing indecent exposure, masturbating in public or fucking on a park bench.

Stop twisting this argument into something that it isnt

It's not a given (at least with me) that those things ought to be criminalized either (pretty much for the same lack-of-demonstrable-harm reasons).
