I don't know shit about miniatures, but these are some of the best and coolest looking I've ever seen online.
Don't even look like they were painted by a hobbyist. Pretty damn good.

Yo mini bros. I am just catching up on this thread. Good shit as always. So I'm still finishing up my Greywater Fastness army but I'm making progress. 10 Dwarves complete, the final 3 are primed. It's 2 heroes and a Gyrocopter. Started painting the 1st hero. So the end is in sight.
I found another 2 armies I want to do and it motivated me to speed things up hah. Start Collecting is where it's at for me and Games Workshop. They have great minis, but the value is really only there in these big sets as far as I can see.
I was kinda meh on Stormcast Eternals, but then after hearing some of the lore I'm down for them now. I'm not a lore guy typically so this sort of surprised me. I definitely dig the bigass hammers and armor. I played a Warrior Priest in Warhammer Online, and these dudes remind me of them.
The other army is this Chaos Knight set. Slaves to Darkness Start Collecting due to release in December. And it looks seriously wicked imo:

I always liked the old just regular chaos knights. But these ones with the more dynamic pose look really nice. They look like they would be alot of fun to paint and convert a bit.

Ok finally got around to putting a decent (but simple) base on these dwarves. And I'm on to the next Army! First Stormcast is a WIP but I figured I'd post him anyway. I managed to get his face, weapon and base painted up. I like how they gave me an interesting base for these guys. I like the book and leaves and I think they look great now that its painted. That said I think I want mostly simple bases so I can pick what I want on them. I think this is just for the "Easy to build" sets that are push fit, pre primed the main color, and kinda pre-based.

I think it's just the big start collecting boxes that come primed with special bases, the 5 unit easy to build boxes are unprimed with regular 32mm bases. Good work with the dwarves and the stormcast guy, I'm still trying to gather the courage to post the kobolds that I finished lol.

I got my copy of Tainted Grail, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to “sundrop” my minis. I took the coins and did ten different designs. Not sure how I want to do it, do I make the characters one color, monsters another, menhirs another? Do I just make everything the same? Undecided atm.

Are you leaning towards any? I'm personally liking the idea of different colors for each faction. I like 7 and 5 - Seraphim and Drakenhof.. and for a 3rd I'd like a bit of more "red" to the Reikland shade. So yellow/blue/red. I dig #4, that purple. But the purple is kinda close to the blue.

I think 5, 7, and 9 are the best looking. I have a red shade but didn’t try it as I thought it would look too pink, I have a green too I didn’t use. 1, 2, and 3 all turned out way too light with the ghost grey primer, maybe I’ll strip those and try the shades I didn’t use. I think I may do 7 on the Menhirs, 9 on the Monsters, then do some shades similar to each character board color so we can tell them apart easier. My dad is horrible at grabbing and moving the wrong figure so I try to make those as different color as possible.

Yah I like 5/7/9 also. 7 and 9 are a bit close though, maybe red/nuln mix will make it a deeper red. Or red/agrax.
Thanks Kovaks! I was happy with it too. I just got some white Stynlrez primer I'm going to try on the wings of my next guy. Looking forward to seeing how that works out.

They’re definitely hard to read. Mostly because there is no color difference. I’ll most likely highlight the numbers beyond that picture, with like bright red or something. This test was just to get color samples for the miniatures.

Super crisp and clean dude. It's looking really good already. Any specific plans for the base yet? Flying/hovering can do such crazy cool stuff sometimes
