Yeah that's real common from those latin academies. teams are much more interested in a prospect that's 18 than one that's in his 20s.

He's clearly 2-3 years older than he said he is. He even gave it away in an interview back in 2018 when he talked about his first home run, and earlier this year the former Marlins president flat out said that not only is he lying about his age but that every exec in the league knows and just didn't care when they were offering him those 10 year contracts because even a Pujols in decline was one of the better hitters in the league for several years.
