He's reformed. Jones hasn't poked anyone in quite a while. The refs specifically enforced on him the rules. With face to face time outside of the Octagon. After the media started to ask questions that applied a lot of pressure.
D.C. slipped through the cracks and is actively doing it.
Also, Jones pokes are well-known. He's subject to scrutiny and referee awareness on the issue. Whereas D.C. is not subject to any more scrutiny than any fighter would normally get for jabbing with fingers, which is about 0. Not to mention the risk of a loss to D.C. the fact he permanently damaged his eye is extra salt and even more reason to avoid a rematch.
Whos eyes were permanently damaged by Jon Jones? Doesn't seem like there are any victims. You take the Jones fight.
I'd further argue the style of Jones eye pokes are less invasive than what D.C. does. Jones is more known for pawing/raking, and D.C. goes for deliberate jabbing which is really dangerous. The fact he permanently damaged someone is evidence of that difference.

Ortega is basically a surrogate Gracie. Gracies have been ego-driven thugs since the beginning. I say this as a guy with 10 years in the BJJ community whose first teacher spent decades with Royce, Rickson, and Rolls.

I honestly believe the onus is on the challenger. They're the ones saying "i'm coming to get the belt". The champion is already on top of the hill and will remain there until someone comes to knock them off.
