Why are people doing stuff like player-made rotations in a beta? If you think rotations are great, force them to put it into the design. If you hate their fte system or whatever it is, abuse it and get it changed. Expecting everyone to just "play nice" and not follow whatever the design seems to favor is crazy.

I mean sure, thats what me and I assume you are doing. For people that mostly like the game and are on board? Beta is not the time to just accept something that you despise the way it works with a player-driven workaround. Beta is where you break and fix.
If the raid game requires player diplomacy to function than in live it just isnt gonna function. Better get it solved now.
An Agent of Change, only it tells you that your lockout keeps getting longer as more guilds join the rotation!

Everyone here loves EQ. But I hope that after 25 years you can realize the game had stunning design issues that were only relatively frictionless because the internet and computer games were less accessible than they are today. You now have another 25 years of EQ optimization play on top of that and the same general demographic.
If you want a game full of retarded poopsockers and only them then this game is certainly for you. Fight the good fight.

This sounds like such engaging gameplay. Way better than instancing content.
On the plus side, it does seem like they finally broke from the EQ mold and have somehow come up with something even more cancerous. So way to go there.
You know, everyone said that these devs were making the game *they* wanted to play. But it seems like they likely don't actually play the game at all.

The thing is... it's beta. They knew this was coming - they're not retarded. They're going to fix it.
The problem is that they're likely going to try to come up with the goofiest systems possible to combat player behaviour, rather than just swallowing their pride and instancing raid content.

I think they actually are making the game they want to play.
I was listening to an old Zaide stream the other day and he mentioned a lot of his friends are now MnM devs, it made me realize this game is likely being made by TLP dramaquesters presumably for TLP dramaquesters.
Also I don’t know Shawn at all whether he is independently wealthy or what but does he have a day job otherwise? My impression is he does not as he works on MnM full time but says he doesn’t need any money from the project? Nothing against the dude at all but if you have no job and all the time in the world then “making the game you want to play” will attract that demographic.

I’m in rampage - who honestly cares about getting loot in a beta wtf? All of us were blown away when they wanted to enter a ‘rotation’ . we were fine getting no loot just to show how dumb the current design was.
I don’t agree with raid mobs being removed but I am happy they are going to address it. I think most of us would have been fine with just more random spawn timers or just earthquakes or, you know actual hard content that you can’t largely either 4man to 2group. Any number of solutions were better than the crap they have going on. But I get they have bigger fish to fry and given they are fixated on this October release I am far more concerned about the state of classes on release than I am the raid game.
