My problem is even though I can poopsock all day long, since I'm retired, I still don't want to sit there tied to my PC because you can't take a 20 minute break.

Agree that having in-game DoorDash would make the game feel more like a real world

Disagree that playing in-game DoorDash would be fun gameplay for anyone except a truly mentally deranged person

We had an ogre on the Cazic-Thule server who would show up in Cazic-Thule (zone). He brought food and water to sell, and bought fine steel for 5 plat per. It was awesome being in a long grind session, and being able to run to zone to dump bags and refill food/drink.

Can’t remember that guy’s name, but he was quite the entrepreneur. Omog or something, dunno. I was able to get every piece of rubicite out of there except the BP, and this dude was a vendor for me the whole time. When he didn’t show up we bemoaned his absence.

That zone was awesome, sad the ruined it with the revamp.

Had a lan party once, we did CT - one guy could not make it to the party irl but joined us in game - we got down to AoF camped it for a while and then in the middle just up and group kicked him, and ported out lol...oh...was so mean. We called him and got him etc. but it was funny.

Yeah, you should be able to just sign up and download.

Wondering if there's a forum guild, on which server, and if anyone else is starting from lvl 1 to group up?

I had a better experience on Krivea than Relle for what it’s worth. Seemed more stable to me.

I don't disagree, but we're already in a spot where there's more content here than there is in all the other mmorpg's that are in EA or in "paid alpha" right now, and that's with an entirely volunteer and part time staff with day jobs. Hopefully EA does well enough for them that they can pay most of their people enough to come work full time and 1.0 happens sooner rather than later. Either way I'm going to be supporting the hell out of these guys.

It will be released in 2026, no indication that their roadmap isnt holding strong. If you are looking for EQ peeps to play with, from TLPs to early p99 people, pop on over.

Gonna check out this playtest, first time since the first one. Plan is to just to get to level 2 or 3 and explore. Gonna save the poop sock for release.

No, it'll be in EARLY ACCESS in 2026. The game looks years away from a real release date.

I absolutely fucking hate that game devs get to call that "release" now.

I'll try it out when it's "done", since I have no interest in what are essentially paid beta tests for MMOs.

Ya I'm very much over running through the desert. I'll see where they're at a couple months into EA, and even then I may just wait for 1.0

It's because consumers are fucking idiots and enable it though. Look at the people who paid hundreds of dollars to test AoC for them. It's been over a decade of companies releasing unfinished games in EA and then just never really getting around to finishing them, because they already got your money.
