Needs a better code phrase like

“Have you heard the chirping of the Tyenbots at dawn, brother?”

or

“The dark men of Odus are fanning the flames, brother!”

I like a lot of the quirkiness honestly. I absolutely 100% agree that it feels nowhere near fleshed out.

What is the Astronomy profession supposed to do? I saw some trainers for it and just thought it was kind of cool such a thing existed. I wanted to start the brewing tradeskill but didn't find anyone for it. I did find the alchemists.

Astronomy and brewing aren't implemented yet. Many tradeskills have trainers available but don't actually do anything yet.

That was probably me. How in the fuck are you at steel smithing? I can't even find enough copper to level. No clue where tin or higher is.

Tin has been hard to find. I've only found a decent supply of tin in the Glass Flats. From the zone line to Sungreet Strand, head left (west, I think) past the hostile goblins and friendly mercenary camp until you see these three big rocks. That's where I find most of my tin.

I know you and others can handle this game and enjoy it. Dig deep. Get immersed.

‘Immersion’, if such a thing exists, is the reason I’m advocating for systems that don’t compel players to minimize the game or run a second screen.

Last night I’m watching a recent Q&A stream where they address QOL UI elements like chat bubbles or floating combat text, and the dev starts talking about curating an intentional visual experience in the game, and how those features may disrupt the vibe. My point is, isn’t the ultimate disruption of ‘visual experience’ the player… looking at another screen?

For me, the map discussion has nothing to do with hardcore vs carebear systems, and everything to do with making the gaming experience actually feel good. Unfortunately though, every discussion with the MNM true believer squad turns into ‘maybe this game just isn’t FOR YOU’ garbage.

Yes. but what is Astronomy INTENDED to do? I get that it doesn't work yet.

I'm not sure. I do know that there are plans for content tied to phases of the moon (for example, the brightness levels in outdoor zones) so I assume astronomy will tie into that somehow.

I agree with you. Anything we can do keep players from alt-tabbing increases immersion. I can understand floating combat text somewhat breaking immersion but chat bubbles allow me to look at the world more instead of my chat box.

Out of the west gate, turn left and go to the shore, there are 4 spawn spots for copper, 3 of which can be seen from standing on 1 rock, the 4th is down by the shore. Nodes in this game seem to have X amounts of nodes are always up. So if enough people are farming ore, it makes those almost hyperspawn. Get a whole mining bag full in a short time.

Tin/silver/iron/gold/coal/plat are all in Glassflats and probably in Fallen Pass. Iron/gold needs skill 100 and coal/plat needs 150.

There is a lot of tin in Glassflats, just gotta find a good route. I think I did the south side of the zone, from gobos over to the skelly black tower, avoiding the crystal spire "forests" until iron. Iron is easy to get near the leaning black tower to the north.

Edit: Oh, the rock outcropping and spires east of the gobos to the zone wall, up around the salt "lake" to the crystal forest also has nodes on them. Only need to watch out for the jackels, as everything else is indifferent.

The Wizard apprentice robe seems quite nice for a newbie item. +1 INT and +5 MANA on a lvl 1 item you get from your orientation quest?

The Wizard one had me running around the academy looking for some vague NPCs. They were all at least in the building though or the adjacent ones. I always liked the oldschool Monk belt quests and stuff. I can appreciate these kind of rewards for running around.

Anyone doing Blacksmith, be aware, you cant realy make armor past copper, unless you get ahold of leather from the aproprate tiered mobs. Bronze is like ~level 15 mobs and iron is ~level 25 I think. On the other hand, weapons aren't too hard to make in terms of mats, they just require alchemy levels.

Jewelcrafting is pretty simple to level with copper/bronze/iron/steel bars only though. Getting the enchanting tradeskill container requires you to make an enchanter alt and follow outlaw path, or give 2s to an outlaw enchanter to buy one for you.

Gravel popping up afk on tons of monsters and memories streamers. Lol
Really? I haven't been afk a ton. Just spent like 3 or 4 hours in Wyrmsbane. Got the sword on my fighter. It's pretty sweet, although I imagine I'll drop it once I hit 10 for dual wield.

I probably spent too much time crafting copper armor. Went and said fuck it and bought a bronze BP. Was a bit pricey, but I figured if I were leveling faster, money would come quicker too.

My one complaint about fighter right now is the armor weighs a fucking ton, and I don't have any way of really getting more carry weight. I'm sure there's some kind of +2 strength items, but not sure how much they'll help. But as is, I'm rarely looting anymore cause I can't spare it.

I'm guessing you must be playing a character that's been through a few tests at this point? Otherwise you've been flying through the content.

When did the 2nd pve server get added?

Didn't even know about this game until people were talking about it in chat during the last Adrullian (Evercraft) weekend test a couple weeks ago. I just read discord after getting decent search results. I can now make all armor, but still wearing copper because I cant get leather, hell, I just got a backpack an hour ago.

You can break into the Enchanter's guild as a non-Enchanter to buy the book and train the skill, too. It does require some parkour.

krivea has been around almost since the start of them running these.
