I think chain from the start yea. Yea I made a bunch as a blacksmith but also found corroded on deadites. The tradeskills were alot more simple back then but I think now you can polish up corroded stuff into tarnished maybe.
Corroded into tarnished is still in game and super easy, as long as you get the armor to drop, it's all you really need (scrap extra into parts, then combine with a piece to make tarnished).

It may be the case that drops themselves are isolated to various mob groups, where some mob areas will only drop cloth/leather and others only drop chain/plate? For example, I've only seen the level 1 - 10 gnoll like mobs (ashari or whatever) drop cloth/leather. I've never seen a piece of plate/chain drop, but my characters are all level 12 or lower, so maybe it's a level thing instead.

As for making it yourself, it doesn't take tooooo long to craft up some copper. If the noob areas are busy, you can pick an area with 3 or 4 nodes and just camp them for ore. It seems faster than running around willy nilly. Then you need to farm up leather scraps (or buy them) and make them into straps. Easiest to make an alt and start them with leatherworking at 25. Everything after copper required higher level leather straps and those will be the hold up on crafting your own armor.

Fellow FoH'ers. The recliner is the future, even Sam would be jealous of my single target burst dps.

Bro, I went and got a recliner a couple years ago. I also got a couchmaster Cylon lapboard off of Amazon. Hook your PC to a TV, sit back and game away with KB/M or controller. It’s great.

I got tired of sitting at a desk all the time.

Glass Flats, massive baricks or castle. The distance makes it look small but the walls but it's still super far away. The crystals are massive and in the distance about 10 times my model height, and they barely reach the first level.

The front half of the huge gully in front of that tower was/is an phenomenal iron farming spot for one person and if two people cut it in half (front and "back/middle") it was even better. Only problem is that it didn't have salt in the node loot pool, so you couldn't make flux for weapons if you just farmed that spot. The flux will matter much less once steel and mithril gets their own flux tier (Alchemy still needs a lot of work).

How do you KB/M while being reclined is my question.
I don't recline in mine. I don't even like the foot rest up because it locks the chair and tilts it back too far. So I use a rolling ottoman instead. While sitting up, using the keyboard for gaming is easy enough with it sitting on the left arm of the chair and I made a custom leather mouse board with suede arm pad that sits atop the right arm of the chair.

I've been using an ottoman with my desk chair, dont like it that much. I want to be able to be able to recline and relax while also being an elite KB/M PC gamer. I have an entire spare bedroom for my hobby room and will custom build a desk top to fit the chair. Once I can figure all that out I will have acheived my final form.

I think I need to find a chair that doesnt recline TOO much.

If you actually want a reclining desk, there are a plethora of them to take ideas from (with pro premades with a big money cost (Ergoquest) to DYI). I generally fart around with GIS to get ideas (example: HERE). No idea how they actually secure the keyboard or keep the mouse from running away on an angle like they are on though. It all looks uncomfortable to game in, to me.

This setup on reddit looks fairly easy to DYI (if you can handle those split keyboards). It would probably be easy to set up a personal 5.1.4 ATMOS system with it as well:

Then there is the dude who built his own Ergoquest out of wood for ~$500:

It still lines up perfect with the desk top. I just lower the desk down to touching the arm barely. This model doesn't recline in a way that tilts the arms. It worked out really well.

I'm rocking the Astor with power recline, lumbar and headrest.
