Ogre stats are fine
Ogre faction is fine
Stun immunity which literally cannot be replicated by any in game item, spell, etc. is retarded
This is not complicated
Those weren't helmets. And half elf dildo helmets

Can't you just gamma exploit anyway?I like how so many posts have said the lack of light is a major feature of the game, and then every single one says "yeah, I'm picking a race that negates that." Almost like they don't actually want that shit.
Full blast gamma is still fairly hax. It's on a list of things to adjust further down the line (again) But they'll probably wait until ultravision is available for testing again to clamp the visibility ranges without lightsources. Gonna be awhile. Can't you just gamma exploit anyway?
Edit: guess you can't someone above said its still dark.
Everyone here is a poopsocker yes. But most people don't pick races to minmax. Poopsockers all do though.I like how so many posts have said the lack of light is a major feature of the game, and then every single one says "yeah, I'm picking a race that negates that." wtf does any of that have to do with light visionEveryone here is a poopsocker yes. But most people don't pick races to minmax. Poopsockers all do though.
Wood Elf was one of the most popular races forever. Because they were cute. Similarly in WOW even assuming a faction balance how much of Horde were Blood Elves? How much of the Alliance was Human or Night Elf? Especially when selecting female characters.
Handwringing about OP ogres is just stupid anyway. Even in EQ where Ogres were objectively the best warrior race due to high starting stamina and stun immunity what race was the FOH original tank again? Oh right, a human. My guild had a halfling warrior tank for years. The advantages weren't end all be all and you're all delusional if you think that.
Don't matter, the balance passes are just starting. So, if I havent looked at the game AT ALL yet... what are the best or meta classes for each role, and which race(s) is the biggest pimp?
Some neat stuff in Nick's stream today. He showed combining 10 pieces of a treasure map and then going out and interacting with the spot. It spawned a red dragon.
I was playing league so only half listening when he was talking about 2h vs sword and board for tanks. It sounded like they don't want to make shields too good so that it is always preferable to wear one. Not sure how I feel on that one.
Apparently, testers seem to think bard charm is too strong. Our bard never really charmed anything, so my only experience with charm was on enchanter. It definitely felt strong, but the random charm breaks while trying to CC pulls could cause serious chaos. My brother wound up babysitting my charmed pet on his rogue to help stun it when it broke, which made a huge difference.
Some folks were also talking about a shield that looks really cool. Nick said it comes from one of the "hardest raid targets." Someone else mentioned it looked really cool, but that it was just for in town because no point wearing a shield currently. Anyone know what that shield might be? My brother got a cool one on his cleric from the crusader lady at the bottom of Wyrmsbane.
It's really close to EQ but with classes getting rank 1 spells/abilities at lower levels. By PoP each class got a few more abilities/spells, right? So probably around PoP EQ in terms of how classes play. How good is multiboxing in MnM?
Specifically how much group synergy, combat movement and challenging PvE content is there?
EQ is so conducive to boxing because classes synergize, especially in later levels, and there's not a bunch of goofy mechanics to deal with.

The complaints with bard charm was it works to a higher mob level than enc, and it's pretty disruptive if your in an outside zone doing flyby charms for half the camps in the zone and slowly working them down. What, charm breaks on Bard 10x the number of times it does on my enchanter. Maybe it gets better at higher levels but I was having hell using it in Ancient Crypt the other day, maybe mobs have a resist in there or something.
Enchanter I felt comfortable having a charmed pet to the point I wasn't constantly alert. With the Bard I'm on the edge of my seat and afraid to alt tab to respond to a message. I wonder if they meant in terms of mana cost? I'll have to watch the stream later.
I think I had an easier time 6 boxing in EQ than I do 3 boxing in this game. Most classes have a higher APM here even if it's not a lot.Very good, very easy, you'll be bored here I think since you like 12+ box don't you?
You'll be your own raid force here, world bosses are really 2-3 group encounters at best and are level locked. If you have a team at every level for locked encounters a person that had been boxing for years would have 0 issue boxing here.
Classes are easier IMO than EQ, they are less complex, more "rewarding".
You roll a Inq, Bard / Chanter, Cleric, Shaman, Archer (I think this is still silly OP?) and flex with another melee or DPS and you would be able to handle likely every camp in the game atm. Some mroe "Challenging" than others due to the same issues EQ has with pathing and what not.
