The deep gnome animations are really top tier. I've loved the murder hobo saucer eyes from the get go. They are teeny as fuck tho for shorty race haters. Cool little hops on casting, Cloud inspired 2h animations- but tragically they only have BST as on option for real 2h love. I'm speedrunning a deep gnome necro to check out the fd animations. The DE female one is actually top kek, with the dramatic arm movement.I"m leaning toward Deep Gnomes too. I like their eye's. It surprises me Deep Elves didn't get anime eye's at least. They just have regular sized eye's which is perplexing to me for a game so focused on day and night vision.
Just have someone invis you up to him. You'll only have to fight the dark blue and light together in the room. Just remember the doors dont block line of sight like they "should".Finally got the 2nd guy, off to the boat guy (tomorrow)… this dude took fooorreeevvveerr to spawn.
Seems like the last dude is just rough to get up to his spawn.
I really like this concept.enchanter rework could be massive. Assuming they overcorrect and butcher charm as is expected then you could see a real shakeup in the endgame ‘meta’ or whatever there is of it.

I really like this concept.
Just because Ench, Sham, Bard were the OP classes in EQ (p99/emu) doesn’t mean they have to be in MnM imo, let some other classes have a bit of a rise instead. Plus it’s fun to watch the tears of people who “loved” those classes when in reality they just loved being an OP class
Give charmed NPC on break a 10-15s berserk buff doubling attack speed, damage, whatever makes sense. Make risk/reward great againClassic charm was a coin toss of instant death in "real" 1999 EQ... I remember enchanters working with the druids and stuff to snare it pre charm so if it broke they could run- and also, there were times where the knights just sat there and taunted charmed pets.
Now talk about "not classic" but charm in the emu era is way WAY more "usable" - also I am sure they changed it on live sometime in vel/sol/pop - but classic - kunark it was not "oh look a leet perma pet" - it was meant as a emergency temp pet type situation / cc

Just make it similar to how it is now at max level I think you can charm up to 52?
Honestly you could make charm pet dps just do the damage of a mage or necro pet and Enchanter is still a solid group contribution with all their other buffs and utility
Ive mentioned that to devs and I get two different responses. One response from one dev on their discord was that the enchanter is too powerful and somehow came up to the point that the Enchanter without a pet, charmed or bound, is already comparable in DPS/Utility as other classes. Saying that with the current implementation, a charm pet is 200-250% effectiveness of other DPS classes with the Enchanter's damage. Then, in a stream, another dev said that they would be "too" weak without a charm pet and that the class bound pet doesnt bring enough to the table. Or in other words, without a Charm pet, the Enchanter would be too weak or less than 100% effectiveness. What is considered 100%? What is considered 200-250%? How did they come to those numbers? I have nfc.I think EQ did that for a time, where when you charmed an NPC it essentially became "A pet" - like a pet class, set level range, damage, skills etc... so it really was just a "pick your cool looking pet" game, as the "what the NPC did" was a set "balanced" style pet
The holy trinity in EQ wasn’t tank heals DPS it was tank heals slowerIt's a weird conversation to have with these devs, though. The lead designer for the revamp .. likes... the way the Enchanter worked in EQ. Does that mean he agrees with how Charm was handled in EQ? Fk if we know cause theyre tight lipped on any changes, and for good reason. People are going to flip their shit when they change how Charm works.

Personally, I think that the Enchanter with the Charm pet is too powerful as its currently implemented, and I also agree that the Enchanter itself - even though it brings a lot to the table - would be too weak with just the bound pet. The idea that "Theyre utility, stop trying to make them a DPS!" is just not an opinion I can get behind. They need to fit the trinity somewhere and with their toolkit, it should be more of a DPS rather than some ethereal "utility" class design that, out of 18 classes - the Enchanter and the bard are the only ones that "fit" that role.
I personally think Charm should remain viable and they should have some caveats. If they just made charm pets unable to be buffed or healed, that would go a LONG ways towards unfucking the current situation. Then, when it dies - if the group didnt do the majority of the damage to the mob from FULL Hp - then it yields no exp. Then, as novel and interesting as the idea is - the charmed mob shouldnt be able to buff the party or the enchanter. Then, add in a requirement that the Charmed NPC must at least con "Uneasy" to the Enchanter. Lastly - Charm should be a "forever" DOT. In that, there is a constant countdown timer before the DOT just kills the charmed pet. Since Charm works off a Snapshot of the current Charisma of the Enchanter - then they have to recast all of their charisma buffs, faction buffs and MR debuffs on the mob each time. Making this a High Cost for any group and makes people ask "is it worth it?"
Simple shit like that will keep the charmed mob from taking a tanks spot and itll knock down its DPS considerably. We dont have to fuck over the Enchanter to bring the class in line no matter how much we would like to see that happen.

Ench fits the trinity just fine IMO. I actually wish there was 1 maybe 2 more utility/cc classes
