Man, raiding in EA is gunna be a shit-show / *Grabs Popcorn* event.

Got staff handing out "here pick one" *Sends them the full loot list* from bosses that aren't itemized.
Got staff handing out boss scripts for things like how to cheat bone construct, pustulax and Ga'Duuz.
Got staff offering to "Spawn bosses til they beat it"

If you had any hope / desire to do "World First" type stuff in this game better find out which guilds are the ones with GM's counseling them early on because you KNOW there will be some "Oh man, maybe you should check under THAT ROCK OVER THERE" level help from some of the staff.

The problem was they did not let raids happen naturally - and now trying to “make it work” causes all sorts of issues.

They have no balance-ability on 90% their high end content. because it’s not really being consumed in any real way.

Side note? The bends garrison faction SUCKS… the bracers are rare… I got all 4 heads now and I am not even kindly lol.

Never no-lifed an emu, don't see the point in no-lifing a system I could boot up on a home-brew and just give myself all the shit I want. To me the fun of an MMO is doing something challenging that everyone else is struggling the same way on, no cheesing the shit out of it. Part of the reason Aradune sucked so much, everyone knows the cheese so everyone abuses the cheese.

Part of me says "Sure, finding the chesese is fun" but the reality is that these systems people are cheesing are so basic that it's kinda comical that these "Raiding guilds" have to be told the cheese instead of just figuring it out.

As for EQ...ya, 100% happened in EQ, but with Shawn trying hard to not fall in the same pit that pantheon fell into on that front...it's entertaining to watch.

So I don’t believe Shawn will play favorites honestly. But if you really think about it like what type of person REALLY volunteers to GM for a game for no pay at all? THAT is the kinda person that deep down thrives on being the local cop and playing favorites

you're right... but you'll have cry babies on p99 that will never agree

the reason why is that eqemu will never be able to truly replicate the magic resists per NPC... its an almost impossible stat to parse for... sure they can figure out pretty easily which NPCs were highly resistant, but for the majority of NPCs no one will ever know the real values... other aspects of charm duration they've (p99, takp, eqemu) pretty much got right (besides p99, they consider CHA during charm-break checks). truly the only check that happens during charm-break is level spread and MR - so the majority of the theory involving when a charm should break hedges on getting MR correct for every NPC (which can never and will never be accurate). and before anyone asks, no showeq did not present resist values

Id wager for some people its probably just the God Mode Exploration of the game. Even though i know in the past, like EQ - you werent allowed to go into VP or TOV without an open ticket in the area. I .. dont think its worth it still. But I knew a couple of GM's that were in small guilds and they just didnt really care about raiding. Think it falls down more on the .. hiring process?... if it could be called that, for the program.

It's hit or miss honestly. I've seen it both ways. Volunteer GMs that want the power to abuse it and Volunteer GMs that wanna play Dungeon Master and host GM events in a non bias way. Only time will tell which happens here.

Finished the platinum neck quest, whew.

While grinding I camped the first dude for a belt upgrade, then the boat guy for a mask upgrade- so thats nice…for a week more lol.
Got like 75% of level 29 a hell level killing greens and light blues for the faction, whew…

I think it would be a great place to do at like 26ish… you can get ganged up on easy. the named can be harsh even at 29… get them perfect solo and prepped they are okay, but adds can get dicey.

Nuking all the utility from spb and sticking them with the shitty stance cooldown dance pretty much deflated my desire to play one. Not to mention pallies and clerics have way more gratifying procs now. Shame

No one asked for pally and cleric to get lightning procs and its stupid- it should be a “nice thing they just have” NOT /the class defining thing and basis of dps values/

It’s like the proposed SK stuff.. you HAVE a class for that stuff. You have spellblade for proc based class fun, you have beastmaster for pet-animal-mob based skills fun.

Hopefully that moves bard past a buff/debuff bot, but as good as the songs sound - I still feel like theyll end up in that spot / boxxed.

The enchanter doesn't sound like a lot changed. They just neutered charm a good bit, base pet still weak af, and merged spells. Was there something new brought to the table for them? Cause I dont see anything but nerfs to their current tool kit.

lol enchant ally removal was an enormous nerf. I’m sure it will come back in some form. I think they finally figured out there was a bug where you could stack 4-5 enchant allies on a single tank making them nearly immortal, and probably weren’t able to figure out how to fix it in time so just disabled it for now.
Even without that bug, it was a strong spell. Tanks now having 800less hp will be noticeable in tough areas

I think the group haste, mana and stat buff spells was a HUGE qol buff to the point that I might play enc. the idea of recasting that shit every 35mins was a dealbreaker for me before.
Also merging the stat buffs was big
