Just off the road between Penshaw and the temple in Keeper's Bight.

I'm not sugar coating anything, leaving anything out, embellishing, minimizing, or what-the-fuck-ever.

I literally picked some herbal nodes that were respawning much too quickly. The thing that threw me off and made me doubt that it was a bug was the respawn rate was erratic. Sometimes it'd respawn instantly. Other times it took a minute. Sometimes 3 minutes. It's why I thought someone else was 'bouncing' them back to me.

Yeah if I got banned over my collecting of near useless herbs I would be pissed. Alchemy is still a trash tier tradeskill.

If they retain the ban for this, then all the good will I had for the game will become hate and spite because I had absolutely no ill-intent. Scorned and all that.

I even stopped collecting them not long after starting JUST IN CASE it was a bug.

I don't think my reply email is going to do me any favors because I was angry as fuck and responded before calming down.

They've mentioned they auto detect a lot so I wonder if you just got nabbed by some tool.

Without a doubt, but Trent is the person who sent me the email. So even if it was automated it seems like it had to be approved by a person.

I think what a LOT of the issues come down to…

Is… no one knows how to interact with people. No one talks or even picks up on social cues.

There is no automatic greed/need auto roll loot button. There is no group finder and summon stone. You sit camp and pull- you dont just Zerg around a zone. You should not pull over or through camps etc.

The players just do not know these things, they have zero frame of reference- while us old dads are super “wtf” because its like dealing with an autistic kid

The single chat box is the biggest problem in this game. They need to provide a better way to keep track of group/whispers out of the box. Ive stated this many times and even provided feedback on it. Its too easy to miss conversations with the default layout.

Thats a separate loot pool.

Welp. It's over for me.

I got permanently banned.

There were some herbalist nodes that were respawning almost instantly and the patch nodes said that they'd be more plentiful. However, to be fair, I thought they might be bugged, but I also thought it was possible that like some other games they could be linked and when someone else harvests a node it despawns and respawns somewhere else. I thought it might be possible that maybe me and another person (possibly more) were gathering nodes at the same time causing them to kinda 'bounce' back and forth.

I did it for about an hour and collecting a few stacks. I figured, at worst, even if they were bugged they'd take the materials back. Never in a million years did I think I would get perma-banned. I have literally never and I do mean NEVER cheated in a game or used an exploit in my entire life, but here we are.

Fuck it, whatever.

Grabbit Allworth indeed, sir.

That's how mine/herb nodes used to work for most of the open tests I played. Get enough people farming copper in the starter area to throw it into hyperspawn, then you just have to stand in the same spot, or run around to a few close ones and click the copper every 15-30 second (with an occasional hitch if someone isn't at every node).

Over the course of the various open tests, maxing blacksmithing and JC probably took more than 20 ore bags of copper (6,400+) (hell, just blacksmithing probably took that much). I couldn't imagine doing that again with how they changed node spawning to have a hard internal cooldown (copper is the worst, due to needing it for two tiers).

I thought I read, during the rogue deep dive, that rogue pickpocket was getting it's own loot table instead of stealing from group like EQ.

Correct, but you have to go enable that. I meant for the average player the default setup is not good enough. There is too much spam going through a single chat box to keep track of anything.

You get use to it, I don’t even see other players damage anymore. Crit, misses, red damage…

Grabbit Allworth new patch today, noticed something lol

Also was it Trent that banned you? If so dm Shawn or post it on discord. The guy is a loose cannon and has been causing problems for players for a while now. A permaban for herbs is ridiculous. A warning is more than enough.

How many did you pick?

I’m shocked Rampage abused all these herb nodes and calling the GM a loose cannon

That's a shitty thing to get banned over. I'd also lean toward being able to get it overturned, that seems like a really shit thing to get a permanent ban over.

Something I never really considered when in beta, because I didn't bother pick pocketing much: pick pocket is a channeled ability that stops your white hits while you channel. You're losing damage to steal money from the mob. Rain of Steel has a similar channel time and uses 5 throwing daggers per button press. So you're spending money when you press this button. Kinda neat - low threat normal mobs just stealing all day, doing less damage. Boss spawns or we start to fall behind on respawn cycle, start throwing daggers instead of pickpocketing, costing money but upping damage.

I'm stealin' like a MF though. Brother called me out on it in group just to point out that the coin discrepancy, since we've been eyeballing it to see how much I'm pick pocketing. Last night from three hours in blacktide bay the group walked out with roughly 1400 each in copper, while I left with 3900.

Don't really care for the change to coin/medallions but whatever. It doesn't really change much for my static, we just had one person collect and sell medallions and then split it up - an extra step to split the coin that we were already splitting before the change. No big deal though.

'Illegitimately?'

I don't know for sure. Somewhere between 100-150? Each node gave 1-3.
