I've been levelling down in Irem since being told about it. Still haven't seen the wisp named yet, but the exp and money is good nonetheless. The ghouls outside the pyramids are yellow to me, and they take a full mana bar, but I get almost 1 blue killing them.
Also there is NO ONE here so I have my choice to do what I want.

They updated the subscriber numbers, so today’s drop off represents accounts that subscribed prior to Oct 1. If i remember correctly that was about 14,000 people.
They lost about 4500 subs of that group today, so about 32% drop off. Worse than i expected from the early adopters, who i assumed would be their most resilient audience.
Still tons of subs and they’re raking it in.

Reading reddit im not exactly surprised. Some people either thought this game was something it never set out to be, or think they can make wild suggestions to the devs to change the game.

I'd guess they settle above 20k once it all shakes out. Non trivial amount of people probably taking a break to play WoW forever and check out MNM after some updates. More importantly check it out once Trolls are added.

I agree with the 20k assessment - I think the floor is 18k at this point, and that'll sustain for months.
I do think the Troll thing is being overblown. It was one of the least played races in EQ even back in the day. Only turbo EQ dorks have nostalgia for them, and 90% of them who would sub are already subbed. They should be focusing on High Elves IMO and making sure the female model looks perfect.
What I think they should do first though is focus on lore and quests and big map chunk releases. Keep the rabid folks engaged as long as possible.

Shawn was forecasting 18-23k range on one of the streams based on initial data. For people who pre-subbed I think the sub is through the 4th? So that's when the real drop off would be

High Elves need a lot of work. Maybe hairstyles fix it, but those shoulder/neck proportions on the female are friggin whack.
