Montana

I fly in to Missoula on Thursday for five days. Can't wait to get out of the brutal heat wave we're experiencing in Texas. Plan on backpacking a couple days in the Jewel Basin then either going to Glacier or the Bob Marshall. I was hoping the crowds at Glacier would be down this year but apparently not, especially on the west side of the park.

Glacier is a mad house as the eastern half is closed off due to the tribes. Trying to stay off the beaten path, went up to the Jewel Basin. Still more people than normal but not too bad. Spectacular weather and views. Found some mountain goats.
