They could do this in a movie. Really only need backstory for Locke himself, and most of that could be covered pretty quickly. And then a lot would be like fantasy Ocean's 11.

As long as I'd have to mostly like it.

If they could build/CGI the city this one could really get made well. I want Joseph Gordon Levitt to play Locke, because I want him to play everyone. But also because he'd kill it.

I want to see an Aquaman movie. But something ridiculous and over the top, like Aquaman becoming acquaintances with Cthulu

Hyperion saga by Dan Simmons. Preferably 3 movies for the first book. Then another 3 movies for the Endymion stories. I would be all over that shit.

The Silmarillion. Not directed by Jackson, the book is too different from The Hobbit & LotR to use the same director. Someone like Danny Boyle would be a better choice, he has very unique visuals in his movies.

Mistborn would probably make a pretty decent trilogy. That is, as long as they didn't cast one of the Waynes brothers as a thief or some shit

I think Steven Erikson's stuff would make some great movies, the Deadhouse Gates in particular. Midnight Tides/Reaper's Gale would certainly incite alot of stupid political commentary but there some very awesome battle scenes and the King of a Thousand Deaths is an awesome villain.

This. I loved the novel and I think it deserves a better rendition than this;



Also, I always wanted to see Swan Song by Robert McCammon made into a movie. I thought it was pretty cool as far as post-apocalyptic fiction goes and I liked all the different character arcs.

I think starship troopers was pretty much perfect, but then again I hate everything the author stood for so the satirical take on his work just makes me happy.

Earth by David Brin is still relevant and would make a good stand-alone movie, as long as Tom Hanks or Keanu don't play the lead character...

The Uplift Trilogy could be a great series as long as it wasn't the Sci-Fi Channel making it.

As much as I would love to see the Chain of Dogs on the big screen, I just don't think anyone could actually pull it off correctly

Deadhouse Gates could be epic. One of the books with Tehol stories could be simultaneously hilarious and epically badass.

Drizzt in Menzoberanzan could be cool too.

Lion of Macedon / Dark Prince by David Gemmell.

Even though it wouldn't be a movie, World War Z as an HBO miniseries.

Dragonlance series. Need some big-screen Raistlin. The only problem would be that it's a series that is heavy on the action and a little light on depth, so you'd spend a fortune on CGI battles with all sorts of monsters and dragons.
