went 4/0 in a singleton with a boros deck.
hit a priest of the forgotten god deck. ok. solid loss.
next game... 1land, no creatures all enchants.. mulligan. 1 land, 2 creatures, rest enchants.. FFS.. ok lets go.
This comes up every time they bring singleton back. The rack/petitioner decks are bad and you should feel bad if you lose to them. They are basically the "you must be this tall to ride" restrictions of the format - if you can't consistently beat those you need to go re-evaluate what you're doing.

the thing is, rats are consistent and own the shit out of newbs. so, great YOUR deck beats em. but theres 1000 other people that are getting owned by the rats, for easy wins.
you may even have a great deck. but its not consistent, by the very nature of the event.
It does piss me off that we are now forced to fight a million red decks, or white weenie...Forcing the meta by removing a counter to creature decks is so bleh.
1 from my boros deck. it started really strong. but also kept getting cut short. 4/2, 4/2, 4,2 over and over.
Very strong. but, can get streaky. and die to removal. if you can improve that, go for it. When it wins, it wins fast and hard.

THAT one had black, in it. def had thief of sanity, and hostage taker though.
but this got me one on my first try with it. none of the matches were even particularly close iirc. Early stall like crazy. mind control and decently large flyers late.

The only reason to be against porting the chess clock from MTGO to Arena is because you want to be the person playing masturbatory, time monopolizing decks and you want more than your fair share of time to jerk off on your opponent's face.
