Boston wouldn't trade Ingram for Okafor. They were willing to part with the pick for Okafor due to the risk it falls outside the top 2. They have to get some significant talent with those Nets picks and Okafor is proven talent that could have helped them right now. But if they see the pick actually land top 2, they will not trade it. I still think it would have been a good trade for both sides at the time it was proposed.

I don't know about that.. They were offering a ton for him at the draft as well. They've went hard twice for the guy. If anything, the deal would just be more balanced, prior it was tipped in the Sixers favor.

Convo you have 6ers fever. No way in hell Okafor gets swapped for a top 2 pick on draft day. Pharazon's analysis is on point. The deal makes some kind of sense before the lottery, but once the pick is a for sure 1 or 2 in a 2 player draft? Not a single GM in the league pulling the trigger on that deal. Flip might have but he's dead so you're out of luck.

At the draft they were offering Smart and multiple 1st rounders. At the deadline they were offering something very similar including that nets pick. By then they knew it was prob a top 5 pick. it's obvious they have a hard on for him. I'm guessing they value that position the most. I don't think it's that outrageous. It's not like Jah was a bust this year. I'm not even sure I'd want them to do it but we will eventually have to address our big situation.

Right. At the time of the trade deadline the nets had the 4th worst record in the NBA and Boston was also throwing in players. The nets weren't exactly improving so Boston knew what they were giving up. They obviously valued Oak so it's not as far fetched as you think. They want someone with long term potential under the net. If that's the position they value the most, which seem like it might be, it wouldn't surprise me if they come knocking draft day again. Not to mention all the pieces they were offering on draft day to move up to 3 when we took him. They've made 2 huge attempts to get him. It's gotta say something about how much they value him.

I don't see it happening if it's the 2 pick, though I'd be ecstatic if it did. I was in the camp that thought they should have moved him for that deal at the trade deadline.

On the Warriors broadcast last night they kept saying how great of a coach Brett Brown is. Were they just being nice? Or is he actually legit and the roster is just that terrible? I think a really good coach would have even the shittiest of teams to at least double digit wins by fucking April.

It's an ongoing topic here bc the plan is to lose games so it's hard to tell. There are some really questionable substitutions made during games. Most likely to make sure the games are lost. We've led a games going into the 4th and ended up losing by 10+ points due to personal/match ups. Plus we just don't have a lot of NBA talent

The team doesn't give up despite their record so he hasn't lost them in anyway. I think next year fans/media will be much less forgiven when it's time to grade him. I expect a pretty large roster turnover. Probably keep about 6 guys from the current roster.

6ers have a pretty simple tanking strategy: Play Okafor, lose games.
There is a lot of talk about him being used as trade bait for an early Draft pick.. Outside of Ingram or Simmons, guys like Buddy, Dunn, etc... It would not shock me if the sixers made a move for one these guys,

Who called that one? Give me some love, Convo.

Did you? That's pretty good. I know there was some talk around the draft about them taking him and using as a chip for the future but let's see how it plays out. The question is who would you trade for him from that list?

Is it a crime here to admit that I want to keep Russell Westbrook on the Thunder more than I want to keep Durant? Obviously, I want them both to stay; however, if I was forced to choose one it would definitely be Westbrook.

Two years ago that would be a crime. Today not so much. I think you could still make an argument for Durant (the biggest is that team has played better with Durant and no Westbrook than they have the other way around), but the stats are all on Westbrook's side at this point.

Raptors get 50 wins for the first time in franchise history. Won't mean anything if they don't get out of the first round of the playoffs.

Basically, Nick Young continues to be a drain on the Lakers. Not his fault he was being video taped, but definitely his fault for existing and never once making the Lakers better as an organization.
