I mean it is all based off of negative Tweets. So I am sure someone out there Tweeted something about him

DeMar DeRozan basically being the most liked player is fucking awesome. After being dumped by the Raptors fans were down on him and his value had bottomed out after he left San Antonio. He has publicly talked about dealing with depression and mental health issues in the past, so Im sure he was going through it. Then all of the sudden he turned himself into the most efficient two way player in the NBA, more than making up for his lack of 3pt production. He was shooting 70%! from the floor scoring 30 points per game for like 6 or 7 straight games not too long ago.

Now he is getting the respect he has always deserved. It just goes to show you how being on certain teams can stifle or unlock a players value. The guy went from a 3rd or 4th option type fringe starter who didnt stretch defenses at all and wasnt getting to the free throw line, to a top 10 player once he got to the right spot.

He played well with the Spurs and got better. All of his efficiency numbers were much improved from his Raptors seasons where he was already a good player. He's actually shooting much better from 3 this season than he has been in prior seasons so of course that's going to increase his efficiency and it makes him all nba and all that shit. Good for him.

He is shooting better from 3, but better being like 34% on one or two attempts per game. He just isnt a 3 point shooter. What he has done is turn himself into a power forward at the 3, basically living in the paint and at the line, while turning down the volume on those mid range J's.

He is top 10 is scoring at almost 28 ppg, without shooting 3's! The only other guys doing that are bigs like Embiid and Giannis, even KAT is a 3 point shooter now, leading the league in 3pt % and won the 3pt contest. So what DeMar is doing is very unique.

Meanwhile Doncic shut me the fuck up from me saying he looked fat early in the year (which he did) and is quietly having another legendary season. Ja Morant, Embiid and others have gotten all the love this year, but Luka's stats are ridiculous....

He is basically putting up a cold 28 9 and 9. If he played just 3 more minutes he would be a 30 10 10 player.

However, LeBron James is doing some great work at 37 almost 38 years old. He leads the league at 30 points per game with 8 boards 6 assists and 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. He is taking a ton of shots but the fact that he is able to just turn it on to lead the league in scoring like this is pretty goddamn impressive.

Lebron is still a great player but the stat thing is a mirage. The best player on a bad team always has inflated numbers

Yeah, even on the worst teams someone has to do the scoring, it's not like games end 120-40. Lebron isn't playing 35 minutes with high levels of ball dominance so he doesn't control games like he used to. His passing is still amazing though. His defense isn't what it used to be. He'll still be good on defense in spots, but it's not consistent at all anymore. Getting old sucks.

And he is still just a shitty human being, who whines too much during games.

Cannot believe the pels will most likely get the Lakers lotto pick due to their meltdown. Never would have thought that was even remotely possible at the start of the season and looking at the rest of their schedule it's pretty much a for sure thing.

Pretty sure it's at least top 10 protected or something.

After this past weekend, the magic number for the Spurs is set at 2. Either 2 wins by the Spurs (unlikely given their remaining schedule) or 2 losses by the Lakers (HIGHLY likely given their remaining schedule) means the Lakers will be eliminated from even participating in the Play-In games. The largest field to ever be "playoff eligible" with the introduction of play-in games, and Lebron can't even make it. What a fucking disaster.

Next year will be worse. LeBron will be a year older and Westbrook has 0 trade value.

Maybe. They do have to match the contract with either their own big contract of a better but not great player that's for more than 1 year plus a smaller one or 2. Expiring contracts do have some value, but that particular one is so big it might be tough to match it. Maybe if Miami has a shit playoffs and they want to get off Butler who has a lot of money coming to him over the next few years.
