Watching it now, got decent review back in the day. It's hella weird, ding-dong-logic and lots of random beatings. Yellow people, man. 5/10 first 20 minuts, let's see why it got 95/92 rotten.

I watched Talk to Me and Bring Her Back.

Talk to Me felt very quick, pretty good A24 horror - nothing amazing, but a solid movie - not a waste of time. I heard there will be a sequel; it's good enough that I would watch one.

Bring Her Back reminded me of the original Speak No Evil (the 2022 Dutch one, not the James McAvoy one) - it was a way slower movie, but you know it's just escalating the whole time. I don't ever need to watch this one again. Good enough, but I'm good with only seeing this one once.

Marvel movies that never got made. Crazy that Spielberg, Tarantino, James Cameron, Neil Gaiman, Benicio Del Toro, and some other surprising folks were involved.

Might deserve its own thread, Kpop demon hunters was really good. Watched it with my daughter and cool concept with spider man style action and comedy.

Watched Long Distance on Hulu via D+.

Simple Sci-Fi movie - a large ship crashes on a alien planet instead of it's intended destination and man in cryo wakes up 4 years early and has to try and survive / find any survivors. The lead is Anthony Ramos (Hamilton, Ironheart).

This is a movie iirc that was made before/during the Pandemic, not good enough for theaters but with respectable FX for a cheap streaming-only movie, was on the shelf for years apparently and they decided to just shove it out on Hulu recently. Formerly named Distant, renamed to Long Distance. Neither are great names. Might have had some brief international release somewhere.

I won't link the trailer, as it shows a lot and I went in basically knowing the one-liner above (I only saw the trailer after I saw the movie).

I saw an article about it getting released the other day, was it any good?

I liked it, or I wouldn't have posted it, guess I didn't mention that part 🤣

Like I said, a simple sci-fi thriller, if you like the premise as described, you'll probably like the movie.

It reminded me a bit of 90s movies, just one of the crowd, not really special, but don't regret watching, etc.
