I tried this game out a little during closed beta but I wasn't too crazy about it. I was sort of planning to give it a try since most people here seem to be pretty positive about it. However, I noticed that people are shitting on it in the Steam reviews. What's up with that?

Just realized that this wasn't a subscription game and decided to take the plunge.
Tried to start up a character on a west coast server my friend chose that had great ping, but the queue was almost 18,000. Now I see this thread and decide to start on Vingolf, but even with a queue of only 900, this thing barely moves. I guess people aren't logging off, which is a good sign I suppose.
