Conte is just horribad. Palmer could have given the bills the entire organizational flowchart on when Cutler takes his shits, wouldn't matter when you have defensive players that are just bad. Can't even remember the last time we had a competent safety duo which then isn't helped by Briggs seemingly having no idea what gap is his nor McClellin being a fucking turd of a linebacker.

I suppose I should know this, but I try to avoid anything involving this piece of shit since he fucked over my team with his bullshit. I just thought there was something saying there had to be a conviction before he could do anything.

Well, even though Rice had already faded, who's going to carry that shitty team now? Flacco looks like a perennial back up and has looked that way since the SB. Reminds me so much of Eli that I swear he's 6 degrees from Manning.

Were there any convictions in bountygate? There weren't even charges, he can fuck you up for tarnishing the league's image. Its a total kangaroo court, he turns around and rules on his own cases' appeals too IIRC.

Actually sources say the NFL DID see the tape. The NFL, itself, is claiming it didn't.

I hope Ray Rice sues so the NFL looks ridiculous. I love the product but I hate the people that run it.
What did Andy Garcia say in Ocean's Eleven...."There's always someone watching". The NFL can claim they knew nothing about this new video, this shit happened in a fucking casino where everyone is being watched everywhere in public spaces...including the inside of fucking elevators. O'h there's only footage of him dragging her out of the elevator, that's good enough for us. 2 games suspension. LOL!

Rice plead not guilty and entered a court ordered program for anger management or some shit. But that really doesnt matter since NFL has suspended plenty of players who havent been convicted for "crimes" committed off the field

I didn't think any team would ever sign Michael Vick again either.
That was how many years ago? The social media explosion has completely changed the dynamics of these situations.

EDIT:
Good. Pack your bags and get the fuck out of town. What a whiny and worthless player.

Yeah, thank god. He's all butthurt now because he knows Hyde's performance has put him out of a job.

Hopefully this latest development will take enough heat off of him to escape severe punishment!

Ray Rice is done.. Aging back on the downside of his career. Why would any team bother?

This is nothing new, companies suspend/fire people who do shit that damages the reputation/image of the companies they work for, doesn't matter if it happens off the clock or not. Sorry you can't knock out you're old lady on camera and keep your job....this is the NFL not SoA.

Except when there's a union involved. Which in this case there is.

I was bitching yesterday about how I hate MNF on opening weekend since they do the double header, and not living on the west coast it means I miss the beginning. But today I'm thankful, because I can't sit through an hour of pregame where the only thing discussed is Ray Rice.

Feels a bit like Double Jeopardy to me, he already admitted he did it and it was a mistake with punishment meted out however lenient it was. Not that I condone what Rice did but he's fucked now for a mistake he made and admitted to. Does he have a history of beating woman?

People keep bandying about the term double jeopardy but this is the NFL not a court of law, doesn't really apply. He's being punished not retried.

I thought the same thing, but Schefter made it sound like it was part of the CBA. Which sounds like something that it'd legitimately have. They don't want their union members punished more than once for the same infraction.

While the NFL has that policy who's going to support him on it? Companies fire all the time for behavior that is harmful to their image. The union won't have his back on this either. He could go to court but I highly doubt he wins against a money machine like the NFL. There's very few times the 'little guy' wins and this one has no support anywhere. I just hope he's smarter with his money than his other decisions in life.

Is it really a surprise to see a high profile employer drop a high profile employee for something like this? People get fired and suspended all the time for doing stupid shit. This is no different. It has nothing to do with the Law.

I understand that and I have no issue with the Ravens releasing him, more the NFL turning a 2 game suspension into an indefinite suspension for the same offense.

Edit: If some team is stupid enough to sign him he should be able to play and make a living after the initial 2 game suspension is up is what I'm really getting at.

The thing with signing one of your week 1 opponents players to your practice squad after final cuts is the oldest trick in the book. It happens every year.
