He doesn't win any superbowls, and wasn't in 2012 either. Like I said, what has happened since has nothing to do with what was going on in 2012.

Assuming that you don't have the benefit of 5 years of hindsight obviously. But regardless, there's no reason to think that Smith would have played better than Kaepernick in 2012. Kaepernick dominated the playoffs and still came up one pass short.

1 pass short? You guys needed a fucked up electric system not to get your shit pushed in by Joe fucking Flacco.

Still, pretty legit effort on the road against one of the harder teams to play against in their stadium. Maybe if half your defense didn't kill itself tonight.
Chiefs were playing serverely beat up as well. 3 oline down, starting cornerback, starting safety, starting outside linebacker. Both teams were crippled as hell. oon and FIsher playing with a messed up back.

Well, Alex is still playing at a high level. Harbaugh is coaching a college team. York is wondering about tickets sales, who knows what Baalke is doing. Kaep has a girlfriend and protesting shit. Not hard at all.

This ignores what has happened to the Niners since Harbaugh left. Also Smith 2-4 career playoffs, Kaepernick 4-2.

This is how Ravens fans tell it too. Niners had just as many long drives in 1st half as the Ravens, play calling let them down once near red zone, while Ravens were able to finish drives. 2nd half that flipped around, but it wasn't like the Niners were doing nothing on offense before the power went out, they just weren't finishing drives.

PI/holding on 4th and goal no call is what cost 49ers the SB.

There is every reason to believe he would have done better, he actually plays the game still, at a high level.

For ref, Kaep had 1 more TD pass and half as many picks as Smith last year, in 4 less games, playing on a team about 10x as shitty.

Also I clearly need to give the nod to the AFC West for best division now. Although I'd say Raiders with Carr's injury in far more trouble at 2-2 than Cowboys or Redskins are at 2-2.

Who was also unstoppable in the 2012 playoffs. Don't let what has happened since taint your memory.

Every person who isn't Rahim Moore begs to differ. Flacco played great against the Pats in the AFC title game and in the 1st half of the SB...the rest of those playoffs he benefited from more than his share of good fortune. Dropped would be picks, and Moore making one of the worst defensive plays ever in a playoff game.

hey, you know Brutul, Kaep is still available. Maybe you should make a call to the 49'er front office.

If Carr really is out 6 weeks, I'd be surprised if the Raiders didn't at least have a discussion about it.

Stop being such a faggot. If you are going to sit and claim that Kaepernick wasn't an effective QB in his first few years, then you are just trolling to try and be cool.

Nobody wants him now because he was nothing more than a flash in the pan.

I agree but its not a clear nod IMO - AFCW cumulative record: 9W 7L, NFCS cumulative record: 10W 5L. Chiefs are better than the Falcons, Broncos are weaker than the Falcons but probably equal to Panthers and Bucs. Carr out? Raiders are weaker than all 4 teams in the NFCS and the Chargers are real bad.

I'm not saying the NFCS is better, but I don't think the AFCW is that much better of a division

Gee Kaep was effective on a really good fucking team. The team Smith was kicking ass with. What a god damn shock. Oh teams that can finish drives are better. Another marvelous insight. Next we will get the hard hitting data like teams that score more points win.

Smith made the Chiefs relevant again. Kaep lead the 49ers right off a cliff.

Kaep had comparable/superior numbers on last years 49ers as Smith had on last years Chiefs. In less games. Which team was a good team and which team was complete garbage?

Also ??? at the claim that is was Kaep, and Kaep alone that was responsible for the 49ers falling off a cliff.
